Jason's POV:
I didn't know why dad didn't let me speak, but I had multiple theories.
1) Dad was in a hurry to get back because he knew everyone would be furious that he took a bunch of kids to the past (What parent wouldn't be mad?)
2) I was named after a demigod who was close to my parents' friends. Either this demigod was here and dad couldn't explain to him that he died, or he died, but dad didn't know how soon that was. Having someone close to you die, then a kid from the future named after said person coming not long after probably doesn't feel good on a person.
And I wasn't the only person who didn't introduce themselves. Bianca was still sitting all alone in the back. She must be really worried, Her parents are super overprotected, so she is definitely not used to this crazy. Me, I was born in this crazy, My dad is making so highly dangerous machine every other week. I'm surprised he didn't build a time machine sooner.
As we walked to bunker 9, I noticed not much had changed at camp half-blood. I had spent a few summers here, but I had never been to bunker 9 very often. That was dad's space. The adults had meetings there sometimes, but the kids usually played in the woods. I walked over to Bianca. "You didn't introduce yourself."
"I didn't want to." She looked to the ground.
"Why not? Our parents never tell us anything. We could learn new things about them!"
"I don't really care. Look, it's nice of you to talk to me, but I know you all think I'm a weird little kid. It doesn't help that my dad...well, you know my parents. Just go talk to Theo. I know he's your best friend. I'll be fine on my own."
I stop for a second. That might be the most words Bianca ever spoke to me. She tended to keep to herself, but I think she's just not comfortable with us. She was an orphaned demigod, but was adopted when she was 5. Her parents work very hard to keep her safe, but she started coming with us to camp half-blood 2 years ago. Coming to camp half-blood is a tradition we like to keep alive. It's hard because we usually live in New Rome, but for us with demigods with greek gods for parents, like me, Bianca, Zoe, Luke, and Silena until she didn't want to come this year (look at how well that worked out), we love it.
"Watch out!" I heard Bianca tell me a second too late. I fell on a tree root.
"HA!!" Zoe burst out laughing. The pain of others brings her joy, Especially me. Not sure why.
"We're here!" Past dad (that not weird) called out. I looked up to see the looming doors of bunker 9.
Authors Note: Hey reader! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I had a lot of work and writers' block (yay..) Anyway, I hope to update soon, though the next few chapters might not be super long. Hope you have a great day!
