Omen's POV

Virginia, Sherlock, Matty, Amyus and I stepped on the sand with blotched patches of wild grass and weeds dotting everywhere, before we gazed up at the colourful banner in front of us with block letters that spelled "WELCOME TO ECTASY".

There was a sea of people entering the circus. Among the throngs of people were stilt walkers in ridiculous colourful baggy outfits, clowns with large vibrant coloured afro wigs and big red noses performing magic tricks to a group of small children, fire breathing dancers and more experts who wowed their own audience with their skills. There were even exotic animal exhibitions from captured from all around the world.

"Those poor beasts trapped in those small cages." Yin mumbled sadly.

Many of my mesias agreed with her, causing a ruckus in my mind that gave me a mild headache.

"We haven't even look at the exhibitions and you are already jumping into conclusions." I answered them mentally. "Besides, we can't do anything to help them. I can't do anything that can affect this world."

"Really? Hmmm..." Envilia wondered.

I felt like retreating into my mind space to ask about her thoughts because of how suspicious she sounded. A group of children ran past us, laughing and pointing at the things around them in wonderment. Meanwhile, their parents were just a few steps behind them, looking fondly at their children.

"Come on, let's go!"

Virginia urged us as she took the first few steps and entered the grounds of the circus.

"Well, let's just enjoy ourselves."

Sherlock agreed before following her. Matty and Amyus tagged along. I shook myself out of my reverie and bounded after them.

"I wonder what we should see."

Matty asked as we scrutinised the wooden board where the map of the circus was pinned into it.

"Hey! The circus show is starting, let's go and get some good seats!"

"I heard the blue singer at the first part is the best, let's go quickly before all the seats are taken away!"

Listening to the voices around us, we instinctively glanced at each other in agreement before simultaneously following them. There was a hush of silence when we entered the tent hurriedly, found some seats and sat down. I took a glance around the big makeshift tent and found all the seats occupied before the lights went out like a snuffed out candlelight.

"Wow! Whoever this blue singer is, he sure is famous." Yang squealed with anticipation.

In the darkness, the spotlights suddenly switched on and shone down on a lone male standing at the front of the stage. He was clad in iridescent blue robes with a soft white feather scarf that wrapped around his neck comfortably. His black hair was slicked back and a blue diamond was painted on his left cheek.

"That must be the blue singer..." Shiro noted quietly.

His head was tilted to the front but his posture was comfortably relaxed.

It felt like he was waiting.

But for what?

As he opened his mouth, angelic notes flowed out of it immediately captured the hearts of the audience. When he looked up, his glistening sea foam eyes drew us in and imprisoned us in our seats.

"Oh! ~ His eyes are so beautiful."

"So is his voice."

The dreamy murmurings of the audience around us made me absentmindedly nodded in agreement. It was like we were under the spell of the male singer.
