After that revelation a few things happened. The first, was that Drake's eyes bugged out of his head. Devin and Stephan were steaming mad. Their faces turned red and I thought I saw smoke coming out of their ears. There were several snarls and a few growls. Before I could blink, Stephan was charging for Sabian. The look in his eyes was frightening.

His eyes changed to an amber color and seemed to be glowing. But that couldn't be right. It must have been a reflection off the lighting in the café or the sun. His lips were pulled back in an angry sneer and it looked like his canines were....longer...sharper? He moved with speed I've never seen before.

To say I was afraid is an understatement. I curled into Kyle's tense body and buried my face in his coat to avoid seeing the two dominant males fight. Sabian was unflinching and the two wolves by him were growling loudly. This was going to be a mess. The wolves would shred Stephan to death. What was he thinking?

Suddenly I heard a loud clap. An invisible wave washed over me pushing me slightly. I looked around the restaurant wondering what the hell that was and if anyone else heard or felt it. Stephan had stopped in his tracks but was still glaring at Sabian. The wolves were no longer growling. The patrons in the restaurant and the staff seemed to be suspended in time. The expressions on their face were mixed horror, shock, and disbelief. A few had their cell phones up recording. Some looked like they were about to scramble out of their seats. Some of the staff were frozen as they were doing their jobs.

Sabian, Zander, Kyle, Kate and the wolves were still freely moving.  So were my fathers and Drake.  It was like an intense stare down.  No one said anything.  I looked around in confusion.

I noticed a man behind the counter that wasn't suspended like us. His eyes were closed with his eyebrows drawn together. He had mermaid green hair pulled back into a ponytail.  He was massaging his temples and grumbling about supernaturals and their tempers.

My eyes widened. What the hell? Why was he still moving?  Did he do this?  Did he use magic? No, that couldn't be right. Yet, it seemed right.

"Alpha, with all due respect, this is neutral territory. Please don't wreck my cafe," he said opening his eyes.  The greenest pair of eyes looked over at us.

Sabian chuckled. "My apologies, Ivy."

Ivy turned to my fathers.  "Hey, new guys."

Stephan and Devin turned to Ivy with a glare.

"This is not the place for your squabbles," he pointed to the door.  "Leave."

Devin shook his head and looked at me.  "Not without Daniel."

Sabian's eyes narrowed.  "I already told you-"

"Alpha or no, we have a blood claim on him," Stephan cut him off.  "He's one of ours."

"Be that as it may, he left your lands and is now under our protection," Sabian smirked.  I had to admit, that turned me on a bit.  Sabian standing up for me.

"This is neutral territory. We can reclaim him if we please."

Sabian's eyes darkened and his hands balled into fists.  "I dare you to try. You won't make it out of here alive."

"Now, now, Sabian dear."

I sagged against Kyle in relief as Zander showed up and stood beside Sabian.  He touched Sabian's shoulder and his fists unclenched.

Ivy also seemed relieved.  He put his hand over his heart which was probably pounding as hard and fast as my own.  "Lord Zander, thank goodness."
