I was running with Kizzy by my side. Heading towards a slide that just disappeared at the end. She jumped on and was gone in a flash. I went to jump on, but was stopped by a girl in a black dress. She grabbed my arm and shook her head. Her lips moved, but I couldn't read them. They just moved.

"Luke! Luke! God, wake up!"

"What? Nikki, why are you waking me up?"

"Well, for one, you were thrashing in your sleep and mumbling. For two, Kizzy's heart rate picked up and flatlined. Don't worry they got her back on track, so to speak."

"She flat...lined?" I said, dazily, turned to look at her.

Nikki just nodded. What was I suppose to do? I can't do this on my own and Nikki isn't like Makenzie. She doesn't know what do anymore than me. To be honest, at this point I'd do anything to save her. I'd even sell my soul. While that thought was in my head I looked down at my Rolex. Oh my god. It was five after one. I never sleep that late. I'm always up by 6:30 at the latest. What was up with me? Maybe it was the whole ordeal last night. I mean I almost lost my daughter. I got up and went straight for my bag and grabbed a change of clothes and headed for the showers. Unfortunately, I was forced to use the showers in the locker rooms. I switched the sign to 'In Use' so that anyone that came in would know that there was someone already in there and possibly without clothes. I put my morning kit on the sink and took a look in the mirror. I sighed and the reflection followed. I had bags under my eyes and I looked like I should be in a hospital bed. Turning away from the mirror, I stripped and got in the showers. By the time that I was done and started to get dressed, Doctors and male Nurses were showing up for the morning shifts. I put on my shorts and my shirt and grabbed my tooth brush and razor. I went back to the sink and shaved and brushed and packed everything up. I walked in to the room and looked up from my train of thought and saw that same Nurse from yesterday standing by the bed.
