Before you left

chapter one

"Hey O, looks like you have new neighbors?" Raven says as she looks out the window to see the house in front of them with a moving van parked in the driveway

"I'll go introduce myself later. Let them get everything they need first. I don't want to scare them off." Octavia replies as she bottle feeds her daughter Tavia

"Riley gets out in a few minutes. I should go." Raven says as she looks at the time on her phone. It's almost time to pick up her daughter from school

"Yeah, go ahead. Thank you for keeping me company today. I really needed it." Octavia says with a smile as she hugs Raven goodbye

"No problem. I love spending time with you and little Tavia." Raven says as she runs her hand on Tavia's head

"I'll see you later." Raven says as she heads out the door

"Bye." Octavia replies as Raven goes to her car, she cradles Tavia as she watches Raven get into her car and drive away

"Let's take a little trip to the neighbors house." Octavia says as she puts Tavia on the couch and outs her baby carrier on. She then puts Tavia in the carrier and straps her in. Octavia puts her phone in her back pocket, grabs her keys, heads out the door and locks it, and walks over to the neighbors house. As she nears she can hear alot of talking and walking around.

"Hello?" Octavia says as she stands in the open doorway

"Sorry about all the noise. We're just moving in." A woman says as she walks to the doorway that Octavia is in. The voice sounds familiar to Octavia, but she can't remember who. When the woman appears in the doorway they are both shocked.

"Oh my god." Octavia says jumping into a hug to hug the woman

"Octavia." The woman says with tears in her eyes as they hug.

"Clarke." Octavia says with tears in her eyes as they hug each other tightly

"I missed you so much." Clarke says pulling away from the hug and wiping her tears away

"I missed you too." Octavia says wiping her tears too

"How'd you know I was here?" Clarke asks confused

"We leave right across the street and we wanted to meet the new neighbors." Octavia days with a smile as she motions to Tavia

"Who's this beauty?" Clarke says surprised when she see's the baby on Octavia's chest

"This is Tavia Reine. She's 6 weeks (1 1/2 months) old." Octavia says

"She's so cute. She looks just like you and Lincoln." Clarke says with a sad smile

"How'd you know?" Octavia asks shocked because she and Lincoln weren't together when Clarke was still in Arcadia

"Come on. You two had heart eyes for eachother before we left." Clarke says with a sad smile before her expression changes quickly

"Can we talk?" Clarke asks Octavia

"Sure." Octavia says as Clarke leads her into the house and too her living room. They go to sit on a couch in what should be the living room, but is cluttered with boxes and packing materials

"There's something really important I need to tell you." Clarke says to Octavia as she holds Octavia's hands in hers

"You can tell me anythi..." Octavia says before she is cut off by kids running into the house
