I know this isn't the update you were looking for. I just wanted to let you know that I added, edited and changed the last four chapters and changed it into three chapters. I am in the process of doing the same for the last chapter I published where Kayla meets the peculiars.
I will (hopefully) have that chapter reposted later tonight.
I am truly sorry for the long delay between chapters. I haven't had the best year and I am having trouble finding the right mind space to write.
I am hoping to make the chapters around 1000-2000 words but some may be a little shorter.
