"You think I won't kick your ass right here, right now, old man? Do you?"
"N-no, it's not that Young Master."
"They why do you still dare to defy my words?"
From the rear-view mirror, one would be able to see Seo Changbin sitting sprawled out on the leather back seats; a young man brooding the still-young age of eighteen, yet holding so much power and authority in his aura that one could easily mistake him for being a general or crime lord.
"Young Master, I-"
"Forget it! And stop calling me that. You don't work for me, you work for that son of a bitch."
Never in all his years of life had Secretary Lee been so scared. Changbin tended to have that effect on people. But nevertheless, his boss's word was absolute, and the trembling secretary would stop at nothing until he could safely invite the teenager over to the Hwang residence for a family dinner. Oh dear.
"Now Changbin-ssi, we'll have none of that. Your father and step-mother would love to have the opportunity to sit down with you. Oh! Also, I failed to inform you earlier, but you will be meeting your new step-brother for this dinner. Both of you are around the same age. I'm sure you'll get along nicely. I've known him since he was a little boy, and I must say, you two would make quite a duo. Knowing that there'll be another boy your age to play around with, doesn't the invitation sound a lot more inviting? Wouldn't you say so, Young Master?"
A silver spoon, Changbin sneered. Like hell would he try to become buddies with some rich boy.
"Do you understand Korean, Secretary Lee? No means no. I'm not going. Stop coming to my house to persuade me otherwise. It's just a waste of your time." Changbin stepped out of the car, purposefully slamming the door extra hard to make his point clear.
Before turning on his heel however, he knocked on the window opposite to the secretary's, gesturing for him to roll it down.
"If you decide to come here again, I won't be so lenient next time with my rejection, old man. Consider this me being merciful."
There was something about the glint in Changbin's eyes and the ice in his voice that made Secretary Lee visibly tremble. If this boy had wanted the heavens of this world to bow at his feet, he wouldn't even need to spare a second glance. Like father, like son.
Changbin had never been more ready to kick someone's ass.
He doesn't know how, he doesn't know why. Everything happened so fast his head was spinning. One minute he was running away from Secretary Lee, and the next his mom was cracking a cold one with three huge, buff dudes and laughing together like old buddies.

"Mom?"
His mom didn't show any signs of having heard him. Her loud laughter overwhelmed the room's atmosphere.
