This fire is nice
But so are your eyes
They twinkle when you smile
Ain't felt this warm in a while

Brendon watched you intently as you poked and prodded at the crackling fire, unable to supress the adoring smile that forced its way onto his face as he did. You were so focussed on getting the fire just right for marshmallow roasting, and your tongue poked out of your lips slightly as you furrowed your brows in concentration.

It was moments like these when Brendon found himself completely blown away by you – when you were fully immersed in something and all of your little quirks shone through. He found it captivating in the highest sense of the word; with everything you did, you managed to make him fall deeper in love with you.

Feeling Brendon's gaze on you, you turned it meet it with your own – an action that took his breath away. The warm ember glow of the fire was reflected in your eyes, swirling with their natural colour into an incredibly beautiful twinkle that shone even brighter when you smiled at him.

You look so good in the light of my Christmas tree
So good you and the mistletoe and me

Carefully setting his drink down on the wooden floor next to him, Brendon dragged himself across the rug closer to you. Once you were within his reach, he opened his arms and you happily crawled into his embrace, setting your legs on either side of his waist.

His hands trailed up your body, slowly running over your frame in appreciation before settling on cupping your face. The lights that were coiled around the tree cast tiny rays of light on your skin, and he pressed his lips to each spot on your face.

"God, I'm so in love with you," he murmured against your skin, dragging his lips all along your jawline and into your neck in a way that made you shiver despite the warmth provided by the fire.

Sighing giddily, you tangled your hands in his hair and guided his lips up to meet yours in an amorous kiss.

You're at the top of my list
Followed up with your caramel kiss
Nothin' could ever compare to this feelin' in the air

He savoured the taste of the kiss, faint notes of caramel from the latte you'd consumed earlier still lingering on your lips. Kisses shared between the two of you were always fuelled by passion and love, and this one was no different. With every movement of his lips against yours, you got higher and higher – a feeling that no other could compare to, and that no one else could give to you.

You yelped in surprise when you were unexpectedly lifted up and carried over to the Christmas tree. Brendon gently set you back down again, not once breaking the kiss.

When he finally did and pulled away, you whined softly at the loss of contact, silently pleading for him to resume kissing you. He chuckled before moving to grab his phone from the coffee table and open up the camera.

So nice you are my sunshine over a field of snow
And I love to watch you glow

"What're you doing?" you questioned, readjusting your position in between the tree and the fire.

"Capturing the glow," he grinned, snapping a couple of pics of you, the warm light from both the tree and the flames giving you an undeniably ethereal radiance. "Fuck, you're so beautiful."

Trying to hide your blush, you reached forward and lightly swatted the phone away. "Alright, that's enough of that."

"Ahh, just one more," he begged, holding the phone out of your reach and managing to capture a couple candids before you eventually swiped it from his grasp.

Pour on the bourbon it's getting' late
Let's melt all the frost on the windowpane
Let's never let this moment slip away
Just stay, just stay

With a soft chuckle, he pecked your nose a few times before picking up his glass of bourbon and taking a couple sips. He held out the glass to offer you some, and you let him tilt it against your lips, allowing some of the alcohol to slip into your mouth.

A few drops dribbled down your lips, and he made quick work of kissing them away. Seizing the opportunity, you placed your fingers to his jaw and tilted his head to once again join your lips with his.

Laughing into the kiss at your eagerness, he held you tighter and deepened the kiss even more than the first time.

You look good in the light of my Christmas tree
You and the mistletoe and me
So nice you are my sunshine over a field of snow
And I love to watch you glow
I love to watch you glow
I love to watch you glow
Come on and glow

"Those marshmallows aren't gonna roast themselves, babe," he remarked, moving his lips to nibble on your ear lobe.

"That's not what I'm hungry for, anymore."

"Oh?" He raised one brow and smirked before laying you down on the rug. "What changed your mind?"

"I don't know," you mumbled, reaching up to run your fingers along his face, which was illuminated by the fire and smiling, "Maybe it's the way you're glowing."
