Chapter 2: Forever Yours

---

The soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains of the grand bridal suite, casting a warm, golden hue over the room. Chorong stood in front of the mirror, her fingers trembling slightly as they traced the intricate lace on her wedding gown. Her heart raced with excitement, a nervous energy that buzzed through her as she imagined the day ahead.

She heard a knock at the door, followed by the sound of her best friend Bomi's playful voice.

"Rongie, are you ready? Taehyung's looking all over for you. He's probably nervous, pacing like a lost puppy out there," Bomi teased, peeking into the room with a wide grin.

Chorong let out a soft laugh, her nerves momentarily forgotten. "He's always like that, isn't he? Trying to act all tough but falling apart on the inside."

Bomi chuckled, stepping in fully and closing the door behind her. "Well, you're about to be his wife. You should know better than anyone how much of a softie he really is."

Chorong blushed at the word 'wife.' It still felt surreal. Her, Park Chorong, getting married to Kim Taehyung, the man who had captured her heart in ways she never imagined. She had always been independent, fiercely guarding her freedom, but with Taehyung, it was different. He made her feel safe, cherished, and, most of all, loved.

Bomi took Chorong's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Come on, you're going to knock everyone's socks off with how gorgeous you look."

With a final glance at her reflection, Chorong took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this."

Outside, the wedding venue was a vision of elegance. Fairy lights draped across the open-air garden, flowers blooming in soft pastels, and guests milling about with anticipation. The air was filled with the scent of fresh roses and the soft hum of string instruments playing in the background.

Taehyung stood at the altar, dressed in a sharp black tuxedo that contrasted beautifully with the soft colors surrounding him. His fingers fidgeted with the cuff of his sleeve as his eyes scanned the crowd for any sign of Chorong. Suho, his best friend, stood beside him, trying his best to calm him down.

"Relax, man. She's not going to run away," Suho whispered, a grin tugging at his lips.

Taehyung shot him a nervous glance. "What if she changes her mind last minute? What if—"

Before he could finish, the sound of the wedding march began, and every head turned toward the entrance.

And there she was. Chorong appeared at the top of the aisle, her arm linked with her father's, looking like a dream. Her gown flowed gracefully with each step, the soft fabric catching the light. Her hair was pinned up delicately, a few loose strands framing her face, and her smile was radiant.

Taehyung's breath caught in his throat. He had always known she was beautiful, but seeing her like this, walking toward him to become his wife, was something else entirely. His heart swelled with emotions he couldn't quite put into words.

As she reached the altar, her father gave her hand to Taehyung, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. They exchanged a look, one filled with love, trust, and a promise of forever.

The officiant began the ceremony, but all Taehyung could focus on was the woman standing before him. He barely heard the words being said, his mind lost in thoughts of their future together.

"Taehyung?" the officiant's voice snapped him back to reality.

"Oh, uh... yes," he stammered, causing a ripple of laughter to spread through the guests.
