[Right here will be where I put down which brother the story will follow, this time it's going to be Conan, but from now on it will only be the brothers name and not this whole paragraph lol]

Conan spent a lot of time with Gavin. Ever since they became friends (although that was questionable) they'd hung around with each other for a considerable amount of time, although most of the time it was so Conan could help Gavin with homework that had been set. It was kind of pathetic that a senior would need help from a sophomore, but Gavin didn't seem to care, some help was better than no help.

"Hey dipshit!" The very familiar voice called out to Conan, Gavin approached him, a slightly annoyed look on his face, "I've been assigned another fuckin' project, you gonna help me or what?" he grumbled. Conan knew that was the nicest way Gavin would ever ask for help, so he just nodded.

In their free period, they sat in the cafeteria, Gavin's books spread all over the table. Conan read over the project brief and raised an eyebrow.

"Gavin this is shit you learn in elementary. Why do you need my help?" he said and Gavin glared at him, kicking his shin under the table.

"Shut the fuck up, my memory is bad, okay?" he hissed. Conan glared in return but had a look through the books.

"Okay so, river processes, do you remember anything about it at all?" Conan asked and Gavin shook his head, making Conan sigh, "Okay so, there's the three main processes; erosion, transportation and deposition, do you know the four main types of erosion?"

"I literally said I don't fucking remember anything about it, asshole," Gavin mumbled, leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms.

"Oh my fucking god, you're so dumb..."  Conan grumbled, rubbing his temple in frustration. Gavin glared and kicked his shin again, his face kinda looked like an angry ferret.

"If you kick me one more time I'm not going to help you," Conan said in a deadpan voice, this instantly made Gavin stop and shrink down in his seat a bit. Conan let out a sigh and continued to help Gavin, explaining the processes of a river and making Gavin take notes. The two continued until the end of their free period, packing up the books.

"I still don't get it..." Gavin huffed. Conan rolled his eyes and glanced at the clock on the opposite wall.

"We get out of lessons at the same time today, right? Why don't we go to the cafe and study more, plus there's free WiFi there," Conan suggested and Gavin nodded almost too quickly in agreement.

"Yea, sure, whatever," he said before walking off to his next lesson, leaving Conan alone.

The smell of coffee and cakes filled Conan's nose as he entered the cafe with his small and usually angry friend. The walk from the school to the cafe wasn't too long, it was only just down the road, a five minute walk at the most.

Conan went to find a table for the two of them while Gavin was more focused on getting a coffee and probably some unhealthy treat as well. Conan found a nice little booth by the window and sat down, getting out his laptop and some notes he'd written for Gavin during his last class.

Gavin soon returned with the predicted coffee and a doughnut, but he also had another coffee, placing the extra one down in front of Conan, making the stoic man raise an eyebrow.

"Why'd you-"

"Shut up," Gavin said instantly, sitting opposite Conan and sipping from his coffee. Conan did as he was told and didn't try to question Gavin's small and very rare display of generosity. Conan began to go over the work once again when Gavin got his books out, making him take notes and quizzing him on things until he got the answer first try. That's what Gavin liked about having Conan help him, he knew Conan would do things until Gavin got it right.

"So do you get it now?" Conan asked after two whole hours of helping Gavin understand the homework. Gavin nodded, a very small smile on his face but Conan managed to notice it.

"...You should smile more often," Conan mumbled, making Gavin's eyes widen in an instant.

"I-I'm not smiling!" Gavin grumbled, his cheeks dusted red. Conan chuckled a little, which was a rare thing for him to do.

"Still, I think you really should smile more often. It might make you look a little less shit," Conan said which made Gavin flip him the middle finger.

"I will literally strange you with my bare hands."

"Can you even reach my neck?" Conan retorted, a smirk on his lips.

"Fuck you! Go to hell!" Gavin hissed, packing up his books and getting up from the table, giving Conan the middle finger one more time before leaving the cafe. Conan watched Gavin leave and packed up his own stuff, chuckling to himself once more. Even though he hated to admit it, Gavin's attitude was quite adorable.

"COOONNAAAANNN!" Colton screeched as he launched himself at his brother, clinging to him like a koala. Conan had barely set foot into his own house before getting tackled. It took a few minutes to pry Colton off but eventually he managed to free himself.

"Where have you been?! You're usually always home at the same time but you're a whole hour later than usual!" Colton wailed, pouting towards his younger brother. Conan just ruffled Colton's hair before taking his jacket off and hanging it up.

"I was helping Gavin with his homework," Conan said, walking to the kitchen to grab a snack, which was just a few grapes.

"Again? You're always hanging around with him... how can you even stand him, he's an asshole!" Colton huffed, crossing his arms. Conan shrugged, not really sure of the answer himself.

"I don't know. I guess it's because he trusts me a lot more than other people. Plus when he's in a good mood he can be reasonably nice," Conan said, popping a few grapes into his mouth, "Plus he's cute when he's angry."

"Conan, your gay is showing," Connor said from the living room, he'd clearly been listening in to their conversation. Colton frowned, a clear disapproving look on his face.

"Conan do you like, have a crush on Gavin or something?" Colton asked and Conan shrugged.

"No, he's just my friend. Plus remember all that homophobic stuff he used to say? Yea I doubt he'll even be in to guys," Conan said in a monotone voice, eating more grapes.

"But he stopped saying that stuff after you two became friends," Colton pointed out, "plus it seems he always goes out of his way to hang out with you."

"Colton, stop talking." Conan said with a huff, leaving the kitchen and going to his room. Colton then joined Connor in the living room, sitting on the couch.

"...he definitely has a crush on Gavin, no matter how much he denies it," Connor said, his eyes not leaving the TV. Colton nodded in agreement.

"Yup. This isn't gonna end well."
