"I miss him so much."
"You're like a love sick puppy."
"I know right? He's disgusting."
"And you are just jealous because you don't have someone to love."

In which Seo Changbin moves abroad to live with his father, far away from the boy he loves...
Everyone in the Seo house hold sat quietly at he dinner table, the only noise being the sound of their utensils hitting the plates. Just ten minutes prior to dinner, Mr. Seo and Changbin had another argument. Mei attempted to stick up for Changbin but to his horror, his father hit her. She now sat silent beside her husband, a red mark on the side of her cheek. No one spoke a word of it, not even Yuhkei who had a tear role down his cheek every few minutes.
"I'm going to make this very clear," Mr. Seo spoke up, his sharp eyes looking to the three boys in front of him, "Changbin is going to marry Miss Mina after graduation, and that is final. It's honestly too bad our Chenle is still young, I know he'd live up to my expectations. Right son?"
Chenle didn't look up from his plate and responded, "of course."
Yuhkei sniffled and reached out to hold Chenle's hand under the table, as if he was saying 'I won't let him touch you'.
"Look at this Mei," Mr. Seo said and gestured to Yuhkei. She flinched and looked up from her food to her eldest son whose eyes were filled with tears.
"Your oldest is a wimp. Can't even control his emotions." He sighed and picked up his fork, "give me your hand son."
Changbin's eyes widened in horror, he new what his father was about to do. Yukhei's tears came to a halt as he stared at Mr. Seo in fear.
"W-what?"
"I said give me your goddamn hand!"
Everyone at the table flinched at the sudden shout. Yuhkei has no choice but to abide, and he inched his hand forward.
Impatiently, Mr. Seo grabbed ahold of Yuhkei's hand turning it so you could see the palm. Changbin watched as his father reeled his arm backward, gripping the fork tightly. Yuhkei was mumbling under his breath, Chenle hadn't looked up from his plate once, and Mei looked to her side not wanting to see her son's fate.
Just as Mr Seo's hand came plummeting downward, Changbin stood up knocking his chair over, "stop!"
His hand came to a abrupt stop at Changbin's shout. The fork was inches away from impaling Yuhkei's skin, like Changbin's once before.
"T-This is not necessary, people are aloud to cry Father," Changbin protested in a shaky voice.
He was terrified, but he didn't want Yuhkei to experience anymore pain. Changbin new if he didn't speak up, no one would.
If only he had kept his mouth shut.
Mr. Seo's face darkened, "oh? Maybe you would like to take his place then?"
Changbin clenched his jaw and looked to Yuhkei, who stared back with wide eyes.
"Answer me, boy!"
"Yes!" Changbin shouted stretching his hand out to his father, palm up.
Changbin's eyes were determined, and showed no more signs of fear. He wanted to be brave, not cowardly. If the only way he could get his father to lay off other people was to get a beating, so be it. He would take it.
With a risen eyebrow Mr Seo let go of Yuhkei's hand and grasped his own son's. No one spoke a word as they all watched Changbin's father lift the fork in the air. Not even Changbin looked away as it came back down toward his palm. When the pain erupted through his hand he only let out a small yelp. Satisfied, Mr. Seo let go of the fork now imbedding in his son's hand.
He stood up from his seat and looked around the table, "Now... if you'd excuse me."
With that, he left.
Changbin's hand was still outstretched in front of him. The fork was not completely in his hand, only the first few millimetres piercing his skin. Once it was confirmed his father was gone, Mei shot up from her seat and went to Changbin's aid.
She lifted her napkin from under her plate and reached over to pull out the fork, "I'm going to take it out sweetie."
Changbin just nodded, his expression unchanging. This had happened several times before, back when his father was in Korea. This event only brought back painful memories for Changbin.
Mei grasped the fork and slowly pulled it out from Changbin's palm. There were four small holes now in Changbin's hand where the fork sat, blood slowly trickling out from them. Mei placed the napkin onto the wound and put a generous amount of pressure on it, causing Changbin to wince.
"Your so fucking dumb," Yuhkei breathed out, clutching the fabric of his pants.
There were still tears rolling down his cheeks as he stared down at his lap.
"Yuhkei.." Mei started, about to scold the taller boy.
"No! He is a fucking idiot! He should have just let me take it!" He shouted, "now it's my fault he's hurt."
Changbin shook his head, "it was my choice to step in."
Yuhkei let out an angry groan and stood up from his seat, leaving the kitchen. Chenle hadn't moved from his spot, and only stared in front of him. He seemed too shocked to move, too afraid.
"Chenle sweetheart?" Mei asked, still holding the napkin to Changbin's hand.
He raised his head slowly, tears gathering in the corner of his eyes, "m-mom," he said, his voice breaking with that one word.
Tears began to flow out of his eyes as he made eye contact with Changbin. He shot up from his seat and engulfed the older boy in a hug.
"I'm so sorry!" He sobbed in to Changbin's shoulder.
He was shocked, but brought his free arm up to pat the younger's back, "it's okay buddy......it's okay."
