Changbin was sent up to his room 20 minutes ago to get ready for the dinner taking place tonight. His father said it would be formal so Changbin had to dress nicely, just as everyone else was.
It would be an understatement if Changbin said he was dreading this dinner. He wasn't sure how he'd go about telling his father about Felix. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to tell him.
Changbin sighed and adjusted the tie around his neck, peering into the mirror at his reflection.
"It's fine. Girls don't like you anyway! If all fails just say you are already in a relationship!" Changbin spoke aloud to himself.
This wasn't something he typically did, but in the moment it seemed to calm his nerves a bit.
"Changbin, father says they will be arriving soon."
Changbin's ears perked at the sound of Chenle's voice. He turned around and saw the younger boy peeking his head in, a distressed look on his face.
"Is it too much?" Changbin asked looking back to himself in the mirror.
"No...its good. Which isn't good for your part. You should be trying to be ugly Changbin," Chenle scolded stepping into Changbin's room.
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair a couple times to make it appear messier.
"Now you just look sexy and that's even worse," Chenle laughed trying to lighten the solemn mood.
With a grunt Changbin spun around and said, "okay let's get this over with!"
The two nodded curtly and then walked out of Changbin's room, heading downstairs. There was light chattering in the living room that Changbin could hear upon turning the corner. There was a few female voices Changbin didn't recognize, and he sure new what that meant. They have arrived.
"Changbin, Lucas! I'm terribly sorry Miss Mina, my boys like to make an appearance."
Changbin couldn't help but scoff as he walked into the living room. Luckily it was quiet enough that the guests couldn't hear.
"Ah my first born! Miss Mina I'd like you to meant my son Changbin."
Changbin's eyes landed on two women. One who seemed older and slightly stuck up. She stood tall, her nose turned upwards as to say she owned this house. The younger one Changbin could only assume was 'Miss Mina' was shorter and had a bright smile. She was breathtakingly beautiful but the only thing Changbin thought was, she isn't Felix. Both women had matching shoulder length black hair and well-fitted black dresses on.
"Nice to meet you Changbin," Mina spoke reaching her hand out for his own.
Changbin only smiled briefly and shook her hand. He wanted to make the worst impression possible.
"Now now...where might that Lucas be?" Changbin's father asked gritting his teeth and shooting a glare to his wife.
"I'm not sure sweetie, I'll go fetch him," she said and hurried out of the living room.
There was a silence between the five standing together. Changbin noticed that Mina wouldn't stop staring at him. Her smile hadn't left her face since the moment he saw her, which was quite concerning. Though, it almost seemed like her smile didn't meet her eyes. His body language was saying one thing while her eyes were saying another.
"Okay," Mr Seo said breaking the silence, "whilst my wife fetching Lucas, Changbin will show you to the kitchen Miss Mina."
Changbin sucked in a breath and purses his lips. Great, he thought.
