"you know ella, you really should make more friends other than just corbyn." my dad told me from the living room. "i mean what happens if you two get in an argument and don't talk for weeks? who are you going to rely on?"

"you and mom" i answered not fazed by what he was trying to tell me.

"ella," he sighed. "what happens if mom and i left. i don't mean a vacation. what if we passed away, and corbyn left you? who would you rely on then?"

i looked up from my phone and looked at him. who would i rely on? the grass? uhm i hope not.

"i don't know." i sighed quietly.

"exactly. why don't you go out and see if you can make a friend?" my dad inquired. i sighed and shook my head.

"it's fine, i don't need to." i replied. before i could hear an answer from my dad, i grabbed my phone and headed upstairs. when i reached my room i walked in and shut the door after me.
