ella and corbyn sat on ellas living room couch watching the christmas chronicles. with both of them focused on the movie, they were not really aware that they're close together. close enough for it to be considered cuddling, if they were a couple. even not as a couple.

"how do they do it?" ella asked staring at the screen in front of her.

"do what?" corbyn asked looking at her.

"like, catch Santa. he's impossible to catch!!" ella told corbyn confused.

"probably because he's not real." corbyn told her in a know it all tone.

"he is too real." she scoffed as she crossed her arms.

"whatever you want to believe." corbyn sighed. she shook her head and paid attention to the movie once again, which had only about 5 to 10 minutes left. when the movie ended ella grabbed the remote and exited out of the movie.

"what do you want to watch now?" ella asked at she stated to scroll through netflix.

"i don't care to be honest." corbyn replied looking at the screen for options. ella scrolled back to the very top of the screen.

"how about fuller house?" she asked looking at corbyn.

"sounds good to me." corbyn answered as he put his arm around ella. a small blush creeped up onto ella's face as she began to play the first episode of season four.

"you know, i want something that dj and steve have." ella told corbyn as she pulled a bag of pretzels out of her pantry.

"explain what you mean." corbyn said leaning on the counter. ella looked at him and thought for a moment.

"just like, being able to trust someone like that. always having someone to count on. someone who will love you forever, and love you for you. ya know?" ella told him spilling out her feelings before she went to get a glass of water.

"well, if you ask me, i'll love you for who you are. you could always go to me." corbyn said looking down at his hands. ella turned her head to look at him with a confused expression on her face. she sighed as she turned back to grab her glass.

"i know i am count on you just, i want someone more than just friends." ella sighed.

"we can be more than friends." corbyn shrugged looking at ella. her face froze as she looked at him.

"w-what?" she stuttered.

"i'm just kidding. unless you really wanted to." corbyn awkwardly laughed. ella sighed in relief.

"i-i thought you were serious." ella nervously laughed back.

"haha nope." corbyn said shaking his head.

"how about we get back to fuller house?" ella asked.

"that sounds good." corbyn said as he started to walk back to the couch with ella following slowly behind. although they were both trying to forget what just happened, ella wished corbyn was serious, and corbyn wished he could just tell ella the truth.
