Trapped with the Seeds

Chapter Nine

Three weeks later:

Three weeks went past, things went back to normal for the Cult and Resistance but for Joey and Aria, it was not the same anymore. No matter how much both girls tried forgetting about the events that occurred in the cave, they just couldn't stop missing Jacob and John. The war between the Cult and Resistance begun again, Jacob and John had taken their spots back in their region and continued what they stopped off at. Aria and Joey didn't want anything to do with the war, they kept to themselves in their home and didn't want to come face to face with the Seed boys.

Aria, Eli and Jacob:

Eli had begged Aria to visit him in Whitetail Mountains, Jacob Seed's region and no matter how badly she didn't want to go there, Eli pushy and she had to go. The two of them met up in front of the Wolf's Den and walked along the side of the road, chatting about work. Eli had informed her that he had liberated two of Jacob's outpost while he was trapped in the cave with her and that he managed to kill most of Jacob's army too. Aria felt so bad and upset about this information, she couldn't imagine how pissed off Jacob would have been returning to his region with two outposts gone and his army less than usual.

She felt a little anger inside her as well, she wanted to yell at Eli for the things he had done but held herself well enough. "You see Deputy, this region was nearly back in our hands but then we found out that you and Hudson were trapped within him and his brother and we made sure that you two were our first priority" Eli continued. "Thanks Eli" Aria replied back with a soft and quiet tone.

As they continued to walk along the road side, a Peggy truck pulled up in front of them, out of nowhere. Eli and Aria watched as Jacob Seed jumped out of the Cult truck and approached them. He was angry and furious, only staring at Eli and Aria knew that things were about to get ugly. Jacob punched Eli in the face, making him fall back on the ground and that's when Jacob grabbed his collar and constantly punched him in the face. Aria screamed and begged Jacob to let him go, it was like he didn't even notice that she was there. Jacob raised his fisted hand up in the air and that's when Aria jumped in front of him. He immediately froze when he finally saw Aria standing in front of him, his eyes opened wide and that anger he had was gone.

"Jacob?" Aria called out, fear was in her voice and Jacob immediately put his arm down. "Come with me pup" he said with a whisper and Aria nodded, putting a hand on his arm and made told him to wait at the car. Jacob looked down angrily at Eli again then turned around and walked to the truck. Aria kneeled down next to Eli, "are you okay?" She asked panicky. "I'm fine" Eli replied back and sat up, "are you going to be ok to get back to the Wolf's Den?" She asked and Eli nodded.

Aria jumped into the truck and looked at Jacob a little scared of what she had just witnessed. He started the engine of the truck and started driving, "why did you jump in front of me? I could have hit you" Jacob broke the silence. "You were beating the guy to death Jacob, I had to stop you somehow" Aria responded and Jacob slammed on the break. "I was aiming to kill that bastard Aria" Jacob turned to her and before he could say anything else Aria interrupted him. "I know you're angry Jacob. He took two outposts and killed most of your men but killing him won't change things" she said with a softer voice, "plus the Jacob Seed I know would have just moved on and started a new army with the people he captured. I'm sure that same Jacob Seed would easily get his two outposts back too". She smiled at him but was still very scared from inside, she knew what he was capable of as well and she didn't want to cross the line.

Jacob sat back in a normal position and took in a deep breath. Aria this time cautiously moved a little closer to him and put a hand on his scarred arm, "I've missed you Jacob" she smiled again. Jacob turned his head and looked into her hazel eyes, "where have you been the last three weeks? I've waited to hear from you every day and never did, so where were you?". Aria's smile faded away, turning her head, "avoiding you. I was angry at you for not acknowledging the fact that I told you that I liked you". Jacob sighed at her response and looked out of the drivers window, "we will talk about it at the Veterans Centre" he ignored her again making her angry again.

"See, there you go again pretending not to hear me" Aria yelled, making him turn his head towards her, "you are such a fucken asshole you know that". She opened the passenger door and jumped out, slamming the door and walking around. Jacob put turned the truck off, jumping out and stormed behind her, grabbing her arm and turning her around. "I heard you the first time and I heard you this time too, don't piss me off Aria" he growled at her, "get in the truck and we will talk about your feelings at the Centre". Aria pulled her arm away from him and gave him an angry look, "I don't want to talk about any of this with you ever again. You don't care about anyone else, other than yourself. I made a mistake falling in love with a idiot like you. Stay away from me". She choked on her tears and stormed away from Jacob, he watched her walk away crying and it was at that moment he knew he screwed things up.

That was his chance to tell her about how he felt, how he loved and missed her too but the anger he had towards Eli, ran its course and now he lost the one chance he had or so he thought. He ran up behind her, grabbing her arm again and pulled her in for a hug. He put one of his hands on her back and the other behind her head and through her hair. She cried into his chest, grabbing his shirt and gripping onto it tightly.

"Why don't you like me Jacob?" She asked through the crying and felt his lips on the top of her head. "I do like you pup, I love you" he said against her hair and Aria felt her heart beat fast after hearing those words come out of this soldier. He pulled away from her, cupping her cheeks and leaning down towards her, "fuck, I've never said those words to anyone before" he chuckled and so did Aria. He pulled her in and hugged her again, "I love you pup" he said again. "I love you too Soldier" she replied back now smiling as tears still flowed down her cheeks.
