JENNIE CLEARED HER throat and patted down her uniform, feeling awkward and uncomfortable as she was the only one around with a school uniform on. But what was she supposed to wear? She did just sneak out of her high school to deliver a lunch packet to her sister, who was in university already.
"Little girl," someone suddenly said, grabbing her shoulder. "Need help?"
Jennie looked up with fearful eyes at the older boy, who was grinning down at her widely. She quickly shook her head, her ponytail moving along with the movement.
"You sure? I'm pretty important around this neighbourhood.. I could show you a lot of cool things.."
"No, thank you," Jennie croaked out, quickly bowing before she walked off. She squealed quietly when the male suddenly grabbed her hand. "Ahh!"
"Come on, don't be like that~ This oppa could show you lots of amazing things... Let me treat you lunch. I told you I'm important, rig—"
"Important?"
Both Jennie and the stranger looked at the person who interrupted them, one with relief and one with shock.
"J-Jimin.." the man stammered, letting go of Jennie at once and facing the newcomer rigidly.
"You'd think I would know about you if you really are as important as you say.." the blonde sighed. "..But I don't."
The male laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I was just kidding around, you know," he exclaimed nervously. "just trying to impress a pretty girl—"
"Go."
"Y-Yes!"
Jennie's mouth dropped open when the boy who had been bothering her quickly ran off, leaving her on her own with that intimidating blond who had just saved her.
"Um.. thank you." She awkwardly bowed, before walking past him.
"Wait," the blond spoke, stopping her at once in her tracks. "You need any help?"
Jennie doubted that he knew about her sister. She doubted that Jisoo would be popular, as she had much more on her mind than getting popular and such. But she had no idea where she could possibly be.
"Um.. well, do you, by any chance, know Kim Jisoo?"
She turned around to face the blond, dighing when she got no response.
"It's fine if you don't.."
"How do you know her?" He suddenly asked. Jennie cocked an eyebrow up at the sudden curiosity towards her.
"I'm her little sister." She responded.
"Oh, I see.. you look nothing alike."
Jennie clenched her jaw.
"Well.. thank you for helping me out back then, I'll be goin—"
"Wait, weren't you searching for Jisoo? I think I know where she is."
"Really?" Jennie exclaimed, smiling brightly. The blond raised his eyebrows at her, feeling his face heat up slowly. He then cleared his throat and nodded his head, gesturing for her to follow him.
"Yeah. The whole university knows where she usually is during break."
Jennie was impressed. Her sister was quite popular— or was she infamous?
