THE BRUNETTE EXITED her room, droven crazy by the aggressive rumbling of her stomach. She had eaten nothing except for an apple and a sandwich the entire day, and when she lied down on her bed after a long day to finally fall asleep, her stomach startled rumbling like crazy. She was so hungry that she felt like vomiting.
When she finally reached the kitchen, the first thing she headed for was the fridge— only to slam it shut afterwards.
Then, she opened the nearest cupboard.
Nothing.
She tried again.
Nothing.
"Aishh.." Jennie cursed, running a hand through her hair as she bit her lip out of frustration. "is there really nothing to eat in this huge house?"
She stopped talking when she heard a door slowly creaking. Soft thuds followed afterwards, and soon enough, the disshelved state of her sister entered the kitchen.
"Oh," she hummed. "You're home?"
Jennie frowned at the bowl in her sister's hand. That smell... She knew exactly what it was.
"Yah... Kim Jisoo..." She slowly started, creeping up to her sister. "where did you get that ramyeon?"
The older sister smiled and dropped the bowl in the sink, resulting to a loud clattering that echoed in the quiet kitchen.
"That's none of your business."
"Ahh, seriously, Jisoo!!" Jennie yelled, frustrated with everything that has happened and was happening right then. "I've had a crap day and need some food!! Right now!! I've been starving the whole day, for Christ's sake!!"
While Jennie was yelling, Jisoo simply sighed and turned to look at the clock that was hanging above the kitchen door.
"Ya, it's not even eleven yet. You get pocket money from mom, so just use it to buy yourself some food."
At the mentioning of the money and their mother, Jennie quieted down. She clamped down her teeth and clenched her fists by her side.
"So what?!" She yelled. "I don't want to use that money for food!! We live in the same house, so why don't you just share your food with me?! Am I that disgusting to you?!"
Jisoo, who had turned around completely to head back to her room, turned around again to face her little sister. Jennie gulped when she saw the dark expression on her face.
"Are you seriously doing this now?" Jisoo asked, her eyes never leaving Jennie's. "I have to pay rent, I have to buy my own food, I do your laundry, I do the cleaning, I have to pay for my own tuition, while you get everything handed to you on a silver platter, yet you're whining like a little kid about me eating the food I bought with my own money on my own?" She scoffed. "You're too shameless, Jennie Kim."
And with that, the older Kim left the kitchen.
When Jennie heard the door of her room being slammed shut, she banged her fists on the kitchen counter. She regretted everything she just said. Why was she such a stuck up brat sometimes?
