JISOO GROANED LOUDLY as she stretched her arms above her body. The girl sighed as she exited the convenience store through the back, glad that she could finally go home— she had taken the night shift, which was from 11:30 pm. to 7:30 am. Obviously, the girl was tired.

"It's so quiet.." she hummed to herself, looking around the street. It was understandable; it was Sunday morning, nobody would be out during this time. Everyone was taking their time to wake up.

Except for a certain red haired boy.

"Jisoo?"

"Hm?"

The girl turned around, her eyes landing on someone she hadn't seen for over a week. She was pretty shocked— in her eyes, he had become a lot more handsome.

"Taehyung-ssi?"

To her surprise, the boy picked up his dog that had been walking around on a leash and ran over to her. But that wasn't what really surprised Jisoo— what really surprised her was the bright smile on his face as he approached her.

Jisoo felt energized, all of a sudden.

"I'm so glad to see you again!" He exclaimed. "I missed you!"

"What? Why would you miss me?"

Taehyung cocked his head to the right.

"Why else? Because I like you!"

Jisoo had no idea how to respond. Did she even hear correctly? Did she just imagine that? How come he was telling her that he liked her? They didn't even know each other that well!

"I really enjoy hanging out with you!"

Oh.

"Oh, I see."

Jisoo nodded her head and smiled a little.

"It was nice seeing you, I guess. I have to go now... Bye."

She bowed a bit and turned around, starting to walk off. In her mind, she was beating herself for being so assuming. Of course he didn't like her!! They barely knew each other. Honestly, it would be really weird if he liked her already.

Jisoo sighed and nodded her head. Yeah. It would be weird. It was better this way.

It's better this way. So why am I feeling so down? What am I, a little kid? Get over yoursel—

"Wait, Jisoo!" She got forced to a stop by someone grabbing her wrist. Jisoo turned around to face Taehyung. For some reason, his face was a light shade of pink, and he couldn't look up.

"I lied."

"What?"

Taehyung let go of her wrist, and instead, he grabbed Jisoo by her shoulders. Jisoo was completely frozen when he bent down to look her in the eyes.

"I don't just enjoy hanging out with you!"

"W-What? What do you mean.." Jisoo's voice barely came out. She was confused, why was her heart beating so fast? She must've just been scared. Yeah, there's no way her heart would beat so fast because of an annoying stranger like Kim Taehyung.

"I really like you! I really like how you're feisty! I like how hardworking and caring you are! I want you to care for me, and I want you to let me care for you, too!"

Jisoo slapped his hands away, her face heating up. "W-What?? What's your point? You're weirding me out!!"

"My point is..." Taehyung took a deep breath.

"I like you."

She just couldn't wrap her head around it.

He liked her.

No, she understood that—

She just didn't understand why she felt so happy when she heard him say it.

And then it all clicked.

"I have a confession to make.." she spoke softly, her eyes casted downwards. "I think... I might.. kind of l-like you, too."

It was silent for a while. Jisoo shut her eyes tightly, regretting saying it out loud. What the heck? Why wasn't he responding?

"Jisoo-ah, look up. Please."

As soon as she did, Taehyung's big hands were touching her cheeks gently. Yeontan was patiently sitting on the ground, watching them curiously.

"Can I kiss you?"

No response.

"Pretty please?"

Jisoo looked down and nodded her head.

Taehyung smiled brightly at her, before raising her chin and softly pecking her lips. Jisoo's hands automatically grabbed his, entangling them.

They parted their lips.

Jisoo smiled at him.

"How about you finally buy me some food now?"

Taehyung returned the smile.

"Deal."
