Meet Taylor

Taylor Herter has always adored to find out people's secrets, he hated being clueless. This is one of the main reasons why he loves being the reporter for the school newspaper since he gets an amazing excuse to hear all the good gossip and find out all the shocking information about his classmates and he also gets to share it with other people. Of course he couldn't say too much about that person because if he did, everyone would know the deepest and darkest secrets about each other and he would either be fired from being the reporter or there would be worse consequences. If this ever happened, he always had his best friend, Aura Locks. Although she was almost the complete opposite of him, they had a few things in common, they were very curious, they were often told that one day the saying "curiosity killed the cat" would come true. They also both hated Alexa Sper. Alexa was the perfect mix between dorky and kind; Taylor used to like her, and they used to be close friends. She used to always be teased because of her last name until she changed... afterwards, she became popular. After that point, she had a posse of the so called "cool kids", and Taylor and Alexa stopped being friends with her.

One day, Alexa came by Taylor's house and said that she wanted to be friends again. Taylor was, at that moment, thinking about where her posse had gone since they always followed her around.

"Fine," said Taylor and he sighed then continued "but only if you tell me the most recent secret that someone has. Otherwise we have no deal."

Alexa reluctantly said "Okay, but you have to promise that you aren't lying about letting us be friends." Taylor promised and then he and Alexa stared at each other for what seemed like forever. While this was happening, Taylor as though had a filter put onto his eyes and all that he saw in place of the mean and rude Alexa was the same old dorky and kind Alexa that he knew five years ago. The starring soon ended when Alexa started telling him the secret:

"I heard Stacy-"

"Which Stacy? Lukesworth, Eveline, Breanse? We have at least three Stacy's in our school."

"Lukesworth. She said that her great grandad used to own a mansion, but ever since he has died, the place hasn't been visited by anyone, not even her family. Enough? Now are we friends now?"

Ignoring Alexa's questions, Taylor asked:

"Where is this mansion located? Is it even still in one piece?"

"How do I know? I don't stalk her! Why don't you go ask her? You know what? Forget that I wanted to be friends with someone like you! I guess that I will have to find some other way to write my history paper!"

"Alexa, wait! I didn't mean it like that!"

She stopped dead in her tracks and slowly turned around. Taylor was bowing down to her as if she was his queen. He himself didn't know where this sudden act of respect came from. After she turned around, Taylor started to form his questions in a more polite manner.

"Do you by any possibility know where the mansion is?"

Alexa returned back to his door with a clearly fake smile and she replied."No I do not know. Now, can we write my hist-"

"Your what now?"

"I meant to say, 'Now, can we be friends again?' I just had school on my mind, you know?"

"Sure...So, you wanna come in and play some video games?"

"NO WA- I mean, of course, anything for my friend."
