Sasugay Uchiha
Naruto POV
Whenever Sasuke and I hung out, it was always at his place, or mine. The only time we were ever out in public together was if we were in a group of people–and Sasuke doesn't really like going out, or hanging out in groups. So, we were usually at home by ourselves. I started to wonder, was he embarrassed to be seen with me?
We were in the living room of his apartment, watching TV together on the couch when I asked, "Do you wanna go somewhere tonight?" I asked, snuggling up to him.
"No, I'm good here," he replied, a light smile playing on his lips. He didn't smile too often, but I thought it always made him look ten times more handsome.
"Come on, let's go out for some ramen or something," I suggested.
"I have instant ramen here." He shrugged.
"But I want Ichiraku."
"Then go by yourself and come back."
"Come with me. Please?" I asked.
"Tch. Why do I have to go with you? You're seventeen, you can do stuff by yourself," he said, seemingly annoyed.
"Yeah, but I want to go out with my boyfriend for once!" I yelled. I didn't mean to.
Sasuke pushed me off of him and scooted to the other end of the couch. "I told you about using that–that word," he scolded.
"What? Boyfriend? What's the big deal? That's what you are to me." I shrugged.
"Okay, but I hate that word."
"Fine, would you want me to call you? My companion? My partner?"
"I don't want you to call me anything. Just Sasuke."
"Yeah, I know that's your name, but it's not a relationship title. You're my boyfriend, not my Sasuke," I argued.
He stared at me with narrowed eyes and sighed.
"I don't get it, what's the issue? You are my boyfriend, right?" I asked softly.
"I just don't like that word, okay?"
"That didn't answer my question."
Sasuke stared at me with a blank expression.
"You know what?" I said, getting up. "You're the most homophobic gay person."
"I'm not gay!" He huffed.
"You know what? Maybe you're not," I sighed, feeling hurt, and feeling the tears stinging my eyes. "See you around, Sasuke."
Sasuke POV
I watched as he left, and yet I still did nothing about it. I really liked Naruto, I really did, but I still wasn't sure about everyone else knowing. They'd probably see me differently, probably judge me, and I wasn't ready for that. Why couldn't he just understand.
