How Much He Means To Me

Chapter 2

This is the 20th time I'm calling him within the last 2hours. It was really surprising because usually he'd call me by now to tell me he had gotten home and wish me good night. I was getting worried but tried to suppress it. Its now exactly 10:00pm and I have to go to bed. I'm tired and have work to do at school. Tomorrow is Monday and will be very busy. I have assignments to submit and lectures to attend. I got in my night gown and went through the pictures Jace and I took this evening unconsciously smiling. I felt a little better and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up with a head ache and the sun peeking through my window blinds, so I took out acetaminophen from my night stand n got a glass of water from the bathroom. My head felt hazy and when it came to focus, I Remembered that I still hadn't spoken to Jace.
He had walked me to my doorstep last night, kissed me goodbye and I saw him walk down my hostel porch on to the main road.
I had left him series of missed calls last night and even left voicemails. He said he was going to call me as soon as he got home last night.
I walked over to my dressing table and sat on the Stool. When I looked in the mirror, I looked like a zombie. I was so tired, I forgot to wash of my make up. My mascara had smudged. My hair was a mess.
I checked my phone for missed calls or messages but saw none. Just my lock screen wallpaper starring right back at me. I went through all my social media but still no messages from Jace. Now, I felt really frustrated. I dropped my phone on the table and headed for the bathroom. I had work at school.

I made my hair into waves and wore a white top with jeans and black flats. I didn't feel like preparing anything, so I opted for cereal -my favourite; coco pops- and orange juice.
