Expected?? I didn't even have expectations. I was just anxious as to why Jace hadn't contacted me since.
I asked where Jace was and amazingly, Nathan was stuttering.
Ja...Ja...Jace h..had an accident last night he said. My heart dropped to my belly. That was appalling. I felt really terrible as that was what I dreaded. He now furrowed his eyebrows trying to read my reaction but I felt frozen. I couldn't move, scream or even cry. My gray matter lost it's function at that moment. I quickly recovered trying not to panic. "Is he okay??" I asked. Without getting an answer, I followed it with "is he in the hospital"?? " I hope it wasn't fatal"??
I frantically asked a million and one questions at the same time.
I started to imagine the worst, his leg hanging up with bandages from head to toe. His head wrapped with blood soiled bandages. Oxygen connected to his lungs. Him being unconscious.
I wish that was the case because as I looked up at Nathan, I could see he was holding back tears. Blinking furiously, he simply said "he didn't make it".
I thought I heard him say something as the next thing I knew I was seeing.........nothing..........abyss.....
I felt like I was falling as Nathan's voice sounded distant calling out to me.... Kylie!! Kylie!!
