Meeting the Fictional

The lady looked in horror at the scene around her.

"Come quickly dear we have to get you safe" she beckoned for me to come closer. I flinched as her arms moved.

"Please I promise I'm trying to help you but we haven't got much time."  I slowly and cautious got up and crept toward the woman. She took my hand and it felt as if I was being sucked into a small tube. In a second we were walking through the streets in London and the woman tapped her wand on a brick on a wall in an alley. I watched in amazement as the wall slowly opened and she hurried me down the street as I tried to take in the wonderous sights before me. Madam Malkins Robe Shop read one sign. I tried to do a double take but the lady had already pulled me away. I surely read that wrong, I thought to myself. then we passed a shop with all sorts of animals but the ones that stuck out were owls. snowy, tawny, brown, barn, you name it, the owl was there. was this some sort of joke? my hand slightly moved. I had forgotten that my mother had slipped me something before she-. i teared up again slightly before pushing the wave of emotions back down. no it was best not to think about that right now. I opened my hand a crack to reveal a tiny sleeping baby bird accompanied with a letter. I was a very wrinkled and ugly bird, but I felt as if I had a connection with it. I soon was hustled in a hotel room where a man was waiting for me. my jaw dropped. this man had long glistening white hair and a beard. his half moon spectacles perched perfectly on his crooked nose. he looked at me sadly, and before I could ask him who he was, my knees buckled and the world went black.

what do you think? i know I'm nothing compared to the great JK Rowling but I gave it my best shot.
