Kinsey's mouth hung open in the perfect comical O.

"I'm so sor-"

"Don't Kinsey. I don't need sympathy." I put my hand up to silence the flow of words that came out of her mouth.

"does anyone else know?" Kinsey asked quietly.

"No. And I would prefer if they wouldn't so please don't tell anyone, okay?" She nodded quickly.

"I should probably start on my homework." I ended up talking through the evening with Kinsey, trying and failing to complete my massive amounts of homework. I found out her favorite color was green, her favorite food was spaghetti and many other things. I taught her how to play volleyball and what a calculator was before I looked at the clock.

"It's four in the morning!" I whisper yelled. She looked up at it too and her eyes widened.

"so much for getting sleep." She mumbled. It seemed like minutes after I dragged myself into bed that Pansy shook me awake.

"wha....? Pansy smiled at me, I made a mental note to unfriend her later.

"You're late for class." I sat up in bed." Crap!" Pansy was already gone by the time I got up. I dashed about the dorm, collecting my book and throwing on clothes. Racing down the corridors toward my potions class. I rushed inside, hearing professor Snape break off mid sentence. I sat down with as much dignity as possible and felt Snape's cold stare bore into my skull.

"I see you finally decided to join us Miss Edwards. But I'll let you off this time with a warning." Ah. I had found the perks of being in Slytherin. noises of protest could be heard as I started working on the instructions on the board. We were making a simple cure for boils today and I was quite good. At the end of the class I had the best potion there other than Hermione's.

"Very impressive miss Edwards. 20 points to Slytherin." I raced down the hall toward the library to meet Seamus, already late.
"I'm so sorry. . " I ran into the library, hair flying and out of breath. I blushed hard at Seamus' smile and sat down quietly.
"No problem. Shall we get started?" His accent made me want to swoon. I nodded quickly and all the way through lunch I forgot stupid little things about potions because thoughts of him were clouding my brain.
"All students report to their dormitory." Mcgonagall said throughout the castle. I jumped and so did Seamus. We walked together into the hallway to see what was going on and we're instantly swept in different directions by a crowd of students. I ended up in the common room, straining to hear whispers of students and looking over the heads for Draco. What I heard invoked a slight fear inside me.
