Expect the Unexpected

Chapter 10

I stayed up all night at Brian's house, taking care of Aiden that would sleep for half an hour and then wake up again, so I figure out that I didn't had enough time to go back to my new place and staying on the couch for a few weeks would be good until Aiden sleep longer. 

Aiden was sleeping in my arms when Brian came down stairs in sleeping pants, looking like he had a great sleep. -Shit I probably look fucking bad, but since when do I care about how I look around Brian?- I ask myself. No answer of course. Brian mouthed a "Good morning" and I just nob in return, I didn't want to wake the kid up. Brian sat down slowly beside me and took Aiden from my arms without waking him up. Aiden already had dark hair, just like his daddy. "Did he kept you up all night?" He ask in a whisper. "Yeah, but coffee helped me" I answer quietly like if we were talking in a library.  "Go to your place and sleep, I need you today because the girls are suppose to go shopping for baby furniture and clothes and I'll feel more secure if you go with them, so I wouldn't end up with stuff in pale green color that made me throw up" Brian said and chuckle lightly, just then, a smile appeared on Aiden's face. I giggle a bit, "Yeah I better go with them or you'll end up with cheesy stuff" I say getting up and walking for the door. "Hey,hey" Brian whisper making me stop in my track, "I got a double of my keys right there" He said pointing in a drawer in the little table, I open and grab the key. "Take it, you'r the nanny now" He said with his famous smirk. I smirk back at him before leaving quietly the house. 

This is fucking crazy two months before Brian just ask me to get out of his life and now he say he needed me to help him take care of his new born baby. Shit this was crazy, I had accepted mostly because I liked helping people and on the other hand I had nothing better to do in Chicago. 

I enter the apartment that was almost on the other side of the street where Brian lived, I didn't thought it was that close when they told me. I enter and looked around, Zacky had put my stuff in the living room, there was basic furniture, nothing luxury, I didn't need luxury anyway. 

I took a shower and change into my pajamas, not even bothering to get all my stuff in the drawer, I just get in the bed and slept for a few hours.

I was now in some baby store with Meaghan and Kim. They wanted to buy some horrible color clothes for the baby.  Every time Meaghan saw something related to baseball she wanted me to buy it because it made her think of Zacky and every time Kim would see things with palm trees or something related to the beach she was jumping on it. I didn't want Aiden to look like a mini-Zacky or a mini-Arin. I wanted to make him look cool and cute, a mini-Brian. -Shit did I just thought that? Fuck my emotions-  So I bought him black and white little suits because he was too young to have t-shirts and all, but I had found him a little beanie that was black with little white skull that were just really cute.  I had found him a mini guitar that make noise and all annoying things it can do but that baby loves. And I got him some furniture.  Once we were done we enter in Kim's truck with all the baby stuff. "How do you feel about all of this?" Kim ask me. I took a moment to think because I didn't take the time to really think about it. "I don't know, I guess that I just want to help the both of them" I shrugged not really knowing myself, sure I had feelings but they could be only a crush that I have over Brian because I was seeing him now everyday. "And how about that sex stuff?" Meaghan ask, she got a punch from Kim's elbow that shoot her a glare meaning 'shut up'. I just giggle in the back of the car, "Nah it's over. Well I got a new rule for that now, no sex before I'm in a relationship" I told them, obviously I didn't thought that this kind of thing will ever happen again. It was only because it was Brian. I guess that I had done it because I was feeling something for him, as small as it could be. 

We finally made it home and I could hear Aiden scream from outside so I took no time and jump out of the car when Kim stopped, not even bothering to take my purse. I ran inside knowing that the door wasn't lock. Seeing no one down stair I ran upstairs. I arrive in Aiden's room, Brian was sitting in the rocking chair his face in his hands as Aiden was in his play chair screaming. I took Aiden in my arm and check in his diaper quickly nothing, I put my hand in Brian's black hair gently, he now realize I was there, "I don't know what's wrong with him, his clean, he have ate everything, he didn't want to be in my arms and he just can't stop screaming" He said before putting his face down again. Fuck Aiden was a loud screamer. I got in the other room that was suppose to be a guest room but it was empty, I shook Aiden quietly while humming him a song.  "It's drawn in the sky, so don't share a tear now, be thankful for the time." And I continue to hummed him Acid Rain as I slowly still walk in the house randomly while the girls were getting all the stuff in. Aiden finally calm and started to slowly drifted into sleep.
