It's Not Cold

Characters: Grayson and Lucas

"It's not even that cold, Grayson!" Lucas said, laughing. I pushed my scarf up and grabbed his hand while we walked.

"Shut up." I mumbled.

Lucas just laughed and tugged me along. It really was cold out, we were walking in snow for goodness sake. And yet Lucas was fine just wearing a hoodie and a hat.

I let out a small yelp when Lucas suddenly started running, tugging me along behind him through the white blanket of cold, wet snow on the ground. I laughed and he turned around, but in doing so tripped over a rock and fell.

And he was still holding my hand, so I went down with him.

We landed in the fluffy snow and Lucas rolled onto his back, so that I was lying practically on top of him.

"Are you blushing or is it just cold? I can't tell," he teased me. My face went even redder than it was and I flopped my head down onto his shoulder, hiding my face in his jacket.

"We're going to get all wet from lying in the snow," I said into his jacket. Lucas just grinned and made no effort to move.

"But it's worth it, Grayson. Besides, you're really warm," he moved his arms so that they were wrapped around my back. "And it's cold out."

"Ha!" I sat up triumphantly, rolling off of Lucas and into the snow beside him. "You admit that it's cold!"

Lucas stared at me for a second and then burst out laughing again. This time I joined in, and we just sat there laughing in the snow for what felt like hours but was probably just four minutes.

He was right though. It was worth the cold.

Just a small fluff chapter to start off whatever this book is

This is only 280 words but I had to write it because it sounded adorable as all heck.

And yeah, this oneshot is based off of that doodle that I drew up at the top
