Show Time

Tristin sat on the couch holding onto the controller as he played with Eriko on Super Mario, Jace still talking to Xander in the dining room. Ryan watched as Trenton sat in Emmett's lap and played with his hair, Trenton's blue eyes sparkling as he smiled and giggled. Emmett sat and talked to Helix and the guys from the night before, all of them dressed in their shirts. Ryan could only smile as she snapped a photo, something to go on the website, before moving on to her spot on the floor by Tristin's feet. She picked up her drawing pad and pen and continued to finish a sketch for the board she would start as she sat at the Show. They had a large area at the show and at 35 dollars per spot, they had 8, she was determined to make at least some profit that day. Each artist would keep the money that they made minus the 18 or 10 bucks they owed for Ryan who paid for all the spots. They always kept the money. The band was being paid to play for the show, about 300 bucks all together since they'd bring their own equipment, so they would probably make the most money out of the night unless Xander sold a Partial or a full suit that night. About 4 artists still owed money to the shop for renting out a spot but it was probably only 15 bucks. Each artist, when selling something, gives about 5% of their sells to the shop until their bill is paid for the month, the rest they keep or help keep a roof over Ryan's head, depending in their status.

Ryan was the only one who fully relied on the shop for income, as the others worked on their projects as best they could. Ryan did devote her life into art at such an young age, striving to make her dream a reality from as long as she could remember. She had worked at a auto garage for her grandfather's friend when she could just start driving but only during the summer. Since Alexis helped her start Internal Organs she devoted herself into art shows and craft fairs as much as she could with the occasional gallery night. It was long hours and it made getting school work done a task but she wanted to make a name for herself. Maybe it was all for the best. Saving every penny she got to put it toward this dream she had finally accomplished after so many hard, painful years. It was all she could ask for in the end. She had been through a lot to make it here and she wouldn't give it up for the world.

Tristin looked down at Ryan as the game loaded up the next level and watched her sketch a little as she attempted to work out a design. He had noticed now that he style consisted of aquatic animals and small rodents such as; mice and rats, with the occasional bird. He had saw a sketch for  a octopus and he adored it, knowing if it was inked and painted he'd love it more. Ryan was designing a nickleboard, as it said in the corner of her page, and Tristin saw that there was a big rat on the center of the design. In the corner under the board type and Design name, which was Queen Rat, was the colors. There was black, two types of hot pink, a mint green color with more of a blue hue, several types of grey, ruby reds, and three types of golds. From the sketch he could tell that it was going to be a good board. She was always creative to him and he adored it about her. Something that she and he shared but Alicia Jace didn't. Something that he missed about her so much throughout the years. Why hadn't he visited Alexis earlier? That was something that bugged him.

Ryan looked up at him and snatched the controller from his grasp, starting the game he was oblivious to. He just watched her, sitting back in his chair. She was good at the game he decided, probably because she owned it. Everyone watching laughed as she attempted to jump to the top of the flag as the level ended but totally missed the pole. She cursed and made Luigi pace back and forth on the ground angrily between the flag and the wall. She jumped up a little and got a little way up the pole before she handed Tristin the remote mumbling, "Damn game."

She got up a little after that and went upstairs, Raven and Erin talked on the top of them, to go get the nickleboard she was to paint. She got her unit tool from the drawer she kept wheels and bearings. She grabbed a mint blue set of wheels, bearings, black grip tape, and a new set of trucks before stuffing them into her skateboarding backpack with the strap to hold a board. She walked to one of her bookcases and grabbed her two hot pink spray paint cans along with the clear coat even though she was sure she wouldn't need it. She had packed away her paints and stencil for the stores logo earlier during lunch. She gave a once over of the room before grabbing her skateboard and hooking it on her bag. She walked downstairs and to the kitchen and grabbed a handful of gummy worms before heading back to her spot near Tristin, where she felt safe. He looks down at her and smiles before going back to his game with Eriko.

In the kitchen Emmett talks to the guys, listening to their stories, as he holds his son in his arms as he drinks a soda. The guys are rambling off stories and talking about their art, something Emmett doesn't really fit in at. He typically feels like the odd one out whenever everyone gathers for conventions but in the end its alright with him. They are his friends too. Emmett glances back to Alexis who is on the floor now sitting by Ryan. He decides to go sit by her so he places Trenton down who scurried to Xander and the new girl, Alicia Jace, pulling up a seat to them. Alexis looks up to him, watching as he strides over and smiles brightly. He sits next to her, she automatically leans against his leg as she watches Ryan finish her design for the show.

Typically Ryan hated when people watched her but she's became so accustom to it over the years it was just normal. Ryan thought for a second, her pencil twirling between her fingers as she thought silently for a while. Then she jotted down more notes in the corner. Rat should be a pink-grey or just grey. She thought for a while more, her eyes darting over the words and then the drawing in her lap as if she was trying to color it in her mind. She shouted a little over the noise suddenly, causing everyone to jump as she called out to Xander. "Xander!"

"Yes?" Xander looked up from his sketchbook full of designs for fursonas he was showing Alicia.

"Come here."

Xander excused himself and walked across the room to Ryan, crouching over  the controller cord and dunking out of Tristin's way before he spoke again. "Yes?"

"Do you want new stickers for Phak Rhat?"

Phak Rhat was both of their fursonas. Xander was obviously the male part and Ryan was the female. Ryan's actual fursona was named Drax who was a mouse but she rarely used hers as she wasn't the person so much into it. Xander thought a second before mumbling, still in thought, "Sure.. Do you want to do it for both genders?"

"I can do that if you want. Do you want stickers or I.D. tags?"

"Both I guess. Like they can be stuffers for when they buy anything."

"Should I put your Instagram, Internal_Organ_Donator, or the main website?"

"Main. You need credit too."

"Thanks," Ryan smiled as she looked back down at her drawing before pulling out her tablet-laptop and snapped a photo of the finished sketch and uploaded it to PhotoShop to finish later.

She glanced at the time before getting up and calling everyone to attention. Normally on a typical Friday they closed at 6:00 but today wasn't a typical day "The time is 5:23 p.m." she started. "It's show time."
