Lloyd Bisset

It has been almost two whole months since we've arrived in this island (we have yet to name it.) Our base has grown in size and my adoptive sister as well as girlfriend have joined us here. Many other people in different scientific and politic related professions have made their way onto our base as well. With the help of some architects we were able to create a temporary base that would not harm the wildlife but would also protect us from the elements. We've managed to document each and every on of the animals that roam this island. The canines resemble wolves but with heavily varied coats, heights, weights, and eye colours. No two of them are alike and though they seem to have reproductive organs, there is no real proof that they actually reproduce. That begs the question, where do they come from?

That question, doesn't yet have an answer. Zoologists working together with Historians and political scientists were able to conclude that each animal has traits of a different nation. They are connected to anything related to or heavily associated with a certain nation. This explains why Marley, my adoptive older brother Cooper's PTSD Service Dog, 'glowed' when she came into contact with the Russian Federation. She was connected with the nation because of her Siberian Husky roots. I connected with France because that's where I grew up before moving to the US when I was 16 to live with Cooper and Lilly as well as eventually meet Raven (Gigi) who is from Canada. Cooper connected with the United States because he served in the US Army overseas. Lilly connected with China because that's where she grew up before moving to the UK when she was 8 then to the US when she was 10, she was also born there. We know that it has all to do with nationality and nothing to do with race. This is proved by the fact that I am black and Cooper is Mexican, racially speaking. But we grew up and were born in different countries than where our racial roots lie.

With this knowledge then that begs the question as to why on Earth Marley glowed? She has lived in North America her entire life, never once has she lived in Russia. Granted her and Cooper did visit the nation as they were touring the world but still. I, though I cannot prove it, have a hypothesis to explain this phenomenon. Because most animals don't think and fall into the political affairs of humans, they do not have nationalities. They in fact are connected purely by their blood, where their breed's ancestors are from. The Siberian Husky is typically associated with well, Siberia. The land of Siberia is currently under control of the Russian Federation which would explain why she connected with him. This entire island and species is completely dumbfounding to us scientific thinkers. Cooper likes to describe the connections as "magic" but from a scientific point of view that is, improbable. There is something much deeper going on here that just simple, magic. And I, Lloyd M. Bisset, pledge to get to the bottom of it once and for all.
In order to start figuring out the difference between these canines and a normal dog, we first need something to compare. I decided to introduce France to Marley so that I could compare them. Huskies are somewhat wolf-like so she isn't too terrible of a control group. Not the best by any means, but decent I suppose. Marley, being an average 22 inches (roughly 56 centimetres) she stands a 11 inches (28 centimetres) shorter than France. France is large for a european country but is in no way large compared to some other countries. We tried to get the US to stand next to Marley but he really didn't want to be near her, or me for that matter.

Now that we have some of the biological stuff out of the way, our next goal is to learn the behaviours of these animals.Though perhaps it is time I end this overly long explanation, Cooper says they're boring. I shall write in this journal again soon.
