Sometimes I cry knowing how proud I am to be a BLINK.
Ugh, I'm such an emotional penguin.
I AM FUCKING DONE WITH FINALS!--
"Unnie!", Jennie squeals to her sister once she reached the top floor of the shop. After escorting Mr. Chanel out of the shop, Jennie sprinted to the escalators to talk to her sister about what had just happened in her office. She finds her sister in the makeup department and drags her into the back of the storage room.
"Yah, what is it?"
"He gave me a promotion. Well, kinda."
Irene gasps and wanted to scream at how proud she is for her sister, but she was thrown off when she hears her sister saying that she was kinda promoted. "What do you mean, kinda?"
Jennie purses her lips together nervously before briefly explaining what she needed to do in order to be fully promoted to be the manager of the main store in Paris.Irene gave her sister the full supported she needed, but she noticed the doubts that were written on her face. "I don't like that look on your face."
Jennie looks at her sister, puzzled by her remark. "What do you mean? This is my face."
Irene rolls her eyes and flicks Jennie's forehead. "Pabo. You have that look that you're unsure. And that look is not my favorite look. Isn't this what you wanted, Jennie? You would always dream about being the manager for the main store in Paris. And now you're doubting yourself?"
Jennie sighs. "It is not that I'm doubting myself. It's just that I feel guilty." Irene had that look on her face that she's waiting for further explanation. Jennie further explained what had happened. "It wasn't the girl's fault, but she got fired and I was just standing there not doing anything to defend her."
"Was she at least attractive?", asked Irene who was listening to her sister ramble about not doing anything to save the girl from being fired. Jennie looks at her older sister with narrowed eyes, not believing that she's not taking her seriously. "I'm just wondering."
Jennie gives and gives a shy smile. "Okay, she is. But that's not the point. The point is that I feel like complete crap for not doing anything to save her from being fired. I can already tell she's having a hard time in her life."
Irene began to give Jennie some advice. "If you think about it, you technically didn't fire her. It was someone else from another department. He who hires is he who fires.", she winks teasingly. "So you shouldn't feel guilty about it."
Jennie shakes her head, flicking her sister in the forehead. "You've really grown into Seulgi's habits, didn't you?"
Her sister shrugs. "Eh, you get used to it."
"That's the thing. I'm not you."
"Exactly."
Irene really has grown into her girlfriend's habits.
The rest of the day, they continued on about their duties as manager and assistant manager. it was quite a busy day for them at the store considering they were one week away from Christmas. But for Jennie, she only has half a week to get what needs to be done.
For the last hour, she stuck herself in her office. Recruiting models and looking for inspiration for the fashion show. But she knows the fashion show is missing one important thing. Christmas. Her ideas were dull and very common, so she's stuck. She even called in some employees to help her get some ideas, but they were useless.
Eventually, they had to close because it was five minutes before closing and the staff needed to clean up and prepare for the next day. Jennie gathered up her ideas and stashed them in her bag before helping out clean up.

"Okay, how about--"
"No, we are not having Seulgi dress up as a bear looking like Santa Clause. I am not letting my future sister-in-law embarrass herself in front of New York City.", exclaims Jennie who was getting frustrated with herself for not having any idea how to make the fashion show be themed like it's truly Christmas.
"How about you call that one chick that you technically accidentally fired?", Irene suggested as she went to the cabinets and rummaged through to find her favorite snacks for the night. She looks back to see her sister's reaction and she wasn't pleased."Unnie! I didn't fire her. Jihyo (MY BIAS) is the display manager and she's the one in charge of hiring and firing her as you said. It's not my responsibility.", says Jennie and afterward stuffed a cookie in her mouth to lower her stress levels down a couple notches.
Irene takes a chip, tossing it into her mouth. On the other hand, she had a can of coca-cola and took a huge chug. "Jinja? You literally answered the question to your problem.", she chuckles. Jennie looks up from her pile of papers, puzzled by her sister's remark which only made Irene burst out into laughter.
Irene says, "Ask Jihyo about the girl and ask to hire her back. It doesn't hurt."
Jennie cringes. "But if she did come back, she'll just--I know she already hates my guts. Why can't Seulgi help me with the display? She's an artist!", says Jennie who was trying to find another solution to her problem because she didn't want to face the woman who wanted to run her over with Santa's sleigh.
Irene shakes her head, "Seulgi would have loved to help you, but she can't this year. She training a group at her dance studio until Christmas Eve.", she walks over to her sister, giving her a big pat on her shoulder. "If I know my little sister, I know she'll go out of her way to get what she wants."
"Thanks, unnie."
"Anytime, kiddo. And by the way, it's your turn to make the kimchi fried rice for dinner.", she laughs after pushing Jennie off her stool and pushing her to the kitchen so that she can start cooking.
--
After dinner, they both headed to their rooms to rest and get ready for a new day tomorrow. As for Jennie, she stayed up later than usual to find more ideas to make sure the fashion show is an event for everyone to remember later on in the future. Her notepad was nearly filled to the end of the last page. Words were crossed or scribbled, arrows pointing at one word after another, circles here and there. Her notepad was a mess.
When her laptop died, she sighed in pure frustration. This was the first time she ever felt like that in a year of happiness and joy. She still can't get over the guilt she feels for the Lisa girl. Even though, she apologized for the accident she caused Jennie didn't apologize for shouting at her and for not defending her from Jihyo.
Although it's two in the morning, Jennie still sent out a quick text to Jihyo to talk about the girl she fired.
Hey, can we talk in my office
today at 10:30 before your break?
Sent 2:03 a.m."Let's see how well this goes..."
