When I was lying in bed, I could not stop thinking about the other day, when I had met Jc. It kind of scared me that I could like someone that much, after only has met him a few times. But it was really something special about him. But I needed to know more. I wanted to see him now, but he would be gone today and tomorrow, he said. That fact made me sad. But I was going to meet Ciara tomorrow so I would still have a great day. We had made up yesterday, of course I knew we would forgive each other, we always did. But she was still asking questions of what happened, but I couldn´t bring her into this. It was way too serious. And if things went wrong, she would be as punished as I would be, and I would not let that happen.

“Macy! Skyler! Dinner is ready!” My mother´s voice from downstairs interrupted my thoughts. I went downstairs to see my parents standing in the kitchen, laughing at each other and they just looked so happy with each other.

“Why are you standing here?” I turned around to see Macy standing there.

“Oh nothing.” I said and went towards the kitchen.

“It smells amazing mother!” Macy exclaimed and I nodded, agreeing. My mother´s cooking was really something spectacular.

“Thank you sweetheart. Come on, let´s eat.” She said and we all brought out the food to the dinner table.

“So, what has happened this week? Anything interesting?” My father asked. Yes, I met a vampire alone in the woods, and I think I like him. I accidently laughed at my thought, and I felt the others looking at me.

“So something did happen, Skyler?” My mother asked. I shook my head.

“No nothing, I just thought of something funny Ciara told me.” I said, and my father just laughed at me. They were already used to me being weird, so they really didn´t bother anymore to ask too many questions.

“Well, I got an A+ on my essay about socialism.” Macy said and looked proud. She had always been the better student, better at everything. Though I really didn´t care, school was never my thing.

“That is great Macy!” My parents exclaimed and looked really happy. I´m glad I have parents who actually cares about me, I know a lot of my friends who doesn´t really talk with their parents as much as I do. I was closer to my mother than Macy. She and I wasn´t really much alike, even though we are sisters. She would flip if she knew I even talked to a vampire, let alone starting to have feelings for one. Wait, I don´t have feelings for Jc? Or do I? Well not exactly feelings, but I sure do like spending time with him. He was, intriguing.

“Skyler? Are you still with us? Or is there a vampire here?” My father suddenly said, and chuckled. He may not like vampires, but he loved making jokes about them.

“I just have a lot on my mind.” I said and smiled.

“Probably a boy.” Macy said and grinned.

“Not it´s not a boy, okay.” I snapped.

“Woah, calm down.” She said and chuckled. My parents continued talking about something that had happened at work, so I tuned out and just ate my food. But then something caught my attention.

“…of course they are having expensive dinners and meetings for our damn money. That damn mayor is really taking advantage of the power he has over this city, over us.” My father said, obviously upset. That was Jc´s father he was talking about, and I couldn’t help but missing Jc a bit.

“I don´t like them either Graham, but what can we do? They´re vampires.” My mother said. Maybe my mother wouldn´t kill me if I ever told her about Jc, but my father definitely would. My father muttered something about vampires and I left the table. The more I heard him talk about vampires, the more nervous I got over me meeting one. I went out to my backyard to lie in my hammock. I had brought my phone and headphones with me so I plugged them in and put on music. Suddenly my phone vibrated and I got a message from Jc. The first time he had ever texted me. Not that I had known him for a long time, but still.

Meetings are boring. Sky, entertain me.

I chuckled and thought about what I should write back.

That´s what you get for being the son of the mayor. You´re having expensive dinners and meetings for our damn money, like my father just said. I think he´ll like you...

Oh. Well I dearly apologize, the food is not even good. The meetings are boring. Can I be a human instead? Or at least a normal vampire?

Well, let me tell you the human world isn´t really that exciting. I did overhear a few girls talking once again about the mysterious Jc Caylen.

I admit, I´m glad girls are so excited about a simple vampire like me. There is just one problem.

What problem?

I kind of like this human, just this one girl, so I don´t really care about other girls talking about me. That´s the only girl I want to talk about.

I got butterflies and started smiling. I felt like jumping around like a little school girl.

Well this girl sounds great. I have to meet her.

We have that in common. And I am going to meet her. At the woods, on Tuesday. Same time as last time. I need to concentrate on this pointless meeting now.

I am already excited for Tuesday, hmm wonder why. Enjoy it.

Oh, I am too. Count on a great day.

Please, can it be Tuesday already?
