Moans followed by ear-splitting shrieks echoed through the cavern. "N-no M-mommy please! STOP!" Another wave of pain-filled shrieks reverberated throughout the cavern. A different sound echoed through the rooms – the sound of skin hitting skin. "Shut up, you brat!" The silver-haired woman yelled. "You're making enough racket to wake the whole 3rd Dimension." She continued venting at the young black-haired 7 year old girl who was strapped to a metal table.

The girl flinched away from the woman as far as she could, but with the straps restraining her she couldn't go far. As she moved she felt a stinging pain in her stomach and wrists and she squeaked. She closed her eyes waiting for her mother to continue with what she had been up to. The cold metal table pressed to her scarred back and it was chilling her to the bone. Her whole body ached and she wanted so to get away from the horrible place. The silver-haired woman sighed in annoyance. "Stay here, brat, or else." The woman walked closer to the girl and loosened the straps.

The young girl yelped as the straps scraped the already red and scarred skin on her wrists as the woman took them off. A stinging pain on her cheek made the girl realize that her mother had slapped her yet again. For every sound she made, she received another slap. The experimenting had been getting worse and her pain wasn't numbed by sedatives. They were in a hurry for some reason. The girl lay still on the table as the silver-headed woman moved away. She knew what the punishment would be if she dared move from this room, but she was in too much pain to move even an inch. She turned her head to stare at the woman she called 'mother' and wondered what she had done to deserve such cruelty from her parents.

The woman moved through the halls, swinging her hips. She sighed and ran a hand through her silvery hair. She was never this cruel, but she would do whatever he wanted of her for the time being. There was no doubt about it. She too was once experimented on and was empathetic, but her body was stronger now. She was grateful to him. He'd saved her from the disease rotting her body from the inside out, after all. She continued down the hall and turned a corner, almost walking right into a young man. She grunted, annoyed. The boy annoyed her. She grunted and moved past him, bumping his shoulder on purpose. "You looking for him?" He asked. She nodded her head, still glaring at him. "I was just going to him, I'll go with you." He gave her an odd looking smile – it was fake. She scowled but nodded nonetheless and followed after him. She didn't know what her master saw in this arrogant, cocky weakling. Granted she wasn't the strongest either but this guy... He annoyed her to no ends and he knew it. She couldn't wait for her transfer. Of course that would only happen once they return to their home in the 1st Dimension. It only took a few seconds before they reached their destination and just like she knew he'd be, there he was. She stopped in front of him and he nodded to her. "Master, we need to go back. She's making too much noise. We'll be discovered soon if we stay here." They hid from the rest of the world in a cavern, but there were occasional hikers who were too curious for their own good. If one of them were to hear the girl's screams, the authorities would immediately be notified, and here they could do nothing about it. It was different from their own dimension.

He nodded. "Yes. I suppose you are right. Speeding up the process ended up giving us a little more trouble than we bargained for." He said. He had pulled his long hair into a ponytail to show off his pale alabaster skin. He nodded. "Pack your things. We're leaving in a few minutes." He smiled, his eyes shining with a hidden motive. "We'll be returning home soon."

The young black-haired girl was still lying on the metal table when the woman walked in. "Why aren't you packed yet!?" The woman yelled and hit the girl. It has been 10 minutes since she told the girl to pack up her things –not that she had much to pack. The girl cried out in pain, grabbing her stinging cheek and started crying. The woman grunted in annoyance. This girl was a pain in her neck. She wished she didn't have to be stuck with her. "Get up and come on! We're leaving. Now." The girl stumbled over her feet as the woman dragged her behind her and she fell down. The woman looked back, giving an angered yell before grabbing the girl by the scruff of the neck and dragging her along. The thought of going back home was exciting, but this girl was ruining it all. She ruined everything. A soft clinking sound reverberated through the room which caught the girl's attention. She looked back and cried out, trying to get out of the woman's grip. On the ground lay a tiny silver necklace that was important to her, though she couldn't remember why. The tiny silver pendant was her most prized possession, she would do anything to get it back, but all she could do was stare at it as they left. She was too weak to do anything about it and she hated it. She turned back forward, her head hanging. They were moving to the next place they could hurt her. She'd be stuck in the never-ending cycle of pain and experimentation and she feared that.

They finally came to a secluded place in the forest and girl's father told them to stand back. He started making strange hand signals that the little girl didn't recognise. A strange purple glow started illuminating the ground and it mesmerized her. She shook her head and stopped looking at it. She watched as her silver-haired mother and cocky brother watched on in fascination. They were so fascinated that they moved closer to see it better. They paid no attention to the girl as she stood up. She watched as they paid attention to the glow and backed away from them. She moved backwards, but her movements gradually became faster until the thick trees shielded her. She turned and started running as fast as she could. Her legs quickly became tired and her breath came faster. Her chest was constricting and she was having trouble breathing, but she kept on running. She had never exercised before, and right then and there decided that, if she were to survive or –even unlikelier- get away from those people, she'd exercise as much as she could.

Sometime later she broke through the foliage and ended up on a deserted road. She turned and continued running. She wanted to get to a crowded place where no one would be able to spot a little girl in the middle of the crowded night. She finally came to a busy road with cars and pedestrians everywhere. She walked around, looking at the different things. She recognized none of them. She suddenly tripped over something and fell. She felt a soft hand with long fingers grab her arm before she hit the ground and she clung to the hand. She turned and saw a woman with brown hair and dark brown eyes. "Are you okay, little one?" She nodded. "Where are your parents?" The girl opened her mouth but instead of words flowing out, she wailed. Tears started running down her cheeks and she sobbed into the woman's shirt. Shocked to see the little girl cry so much, the woman wondered what could've made her so unhappy. She picked the girl up in her arms and went home with her, while trying to stop her tears. She'd find the girl's parents the next day; it was too dark now.
