I rubbed my head. Why the hell did I wake up in the hospital again? I can't remember anything up to the day Kiba stole my Dango. I walked to the Academy with my hands behind my head and that's when I heard Naruto's familiar laughter. "Give it up. You're just bent because you don't have the guts to do what I do, do ya!? Losers! Wannabe's! You'll never catch me!" He laughed again. Wait. I looked up at the Hokage faces. Naruto told me that he was going to paint the faces the day before the exam. If this was really Naruto's doing, then that means there's only a day left before the final exam. What the hell!? I skipped a whole day! I can't remember what happened yesterday at all!
I saw Naruto running away from a couple of Jounin and suddenly his disguise was up. He blended right in with the fence. I wasn't surprised when they ran past him. I would have never noticed if I didn't see him doing it. I knew Iruka would show up soon. "Psst! Naruto-san! Come here, quick!"
He looked my way and made his way to me. "Miyuki-chan? What are you doing here?" He asked sceptically. I took him by the shoulders and pushed him into an alley, making him flinch. It confused me. Why did he flinch? He looked at me with steady eyes. "So, what are you doing here?" he repeated. He looked at me for a minute "You know, you're kinda pretty."
I shook my head, smiling, and blushed. "Thanks. Naruto-kun, you should go to the Academy. They won't expect you to be there. " I grinned at his expression. He didn't think I'd help him get away from them. He probably thought I'd give his position away or something
His surprised expression transformed into a grin. "Okay! Thanks Miyuki-chan! I think you're right!"
I actually wanted to help him with his pranks. I smiled at him. "C'mon. I'll try to help you hide!" I exclaimed, grinning.
He smiled up at me and nodded. I inched along the wall and glanced out, the coast was clear. I grabbed his hand and we started running. We turned random corners, quickly nearing the Academy. Naruto laughed as we turned the last corner. "That was too easy." Unfortunately there was a surprise for us.
"Oh yeah, Naruto!?" Iruka yelled, a vein almost popping. He was extremely angry.
Naruto yelled in surprise and fell down beside me. "Where'd you come from Iruka-sensei? What are you doing here?"
Iruka stood with his hands on his hips and pointed his finger at us. "No, what are you two doing here? You're supposed to be in class."
My eyes widened. "Wait, what? It's already that late!?"
Iruka looked at me from the corner of his eye. He looked disbelievingly – as if he didn't believe I didn't know the time. Before I realised what was happening, I was tied to Naruto. He wiggled around, trying to escape. I looked at Iruka. "What'd you tie me up for!? I didn't do anything! I didn't even know I was late for class!"
Iruka rolled his eyes, unconvinced. "Right and the next thing you'll say is that you didn't paint the Hokage faces with Naruto."
"I DIDN'T!" I yelled at him, now struggling just as much as Naruto was. "What the heck, sensei!? I didn't do anything!"
*
I scowled at Iruka as he scolded us. I didn't do anything and now I'm here, tied to Naruto, sitting on the floor and my butt was beginning to ache.
Everyone was looking at us. I fidgeted under the stares. I hated being the centre of attention and yet Iruka always had me sitting right in the spotlight. "I'm at the end of my rope, Naruto. You failed the graduation test last time AND the time before that. Tomorrow, you've got another chance and you're messing up again! And you, Miyuki, should be focusing on studying, but instead you skip a day and help Naruto with his prank!"
