Everfree Camping Part 2

Rainbow Dash POV

Yes! Today's the day to head to Camp Everfree! I was jumping up and down like Pinkie.

Everyone assembled in the school and set off on the coach.

Pinkie and Surprise hit it off instantly. Now, they were talking about how strawberry flavoured marshmallows were best to sleep on.

Me and Soarin facepalmed.

The gang (the Rainbooms) were very hyper. They were telling each other about how we defeated Gaia Everfree and blah blah blah.

I know every detail. And what I didn't tell, was actually I saw Mum's ghost, saying I did well. She was with me on the day of the Crystal Ball, chatting to me all day long.

Sky was posing in front of his camera, taking selfies. Vapor was behind him, posing along, but got pushed away by Sky.

He's quite the arrogant fellow.

Principal Celestia said,"I am so proud of everyone for coming with us today! This is going to be so much fun!"

We agreed in a chorus of voices.

Even the bus driver sang along. He knew the song because he was the same driver on the trip before.

Hours later, we arrived at Camp Everfree. We were welcomed by Gloriosa Daisy, and his brother Timber Spruce. He blushed when he saw Twilight, and she blushed harder in return.

Pinkie and Rarity were fangirling. Applejack was taking the luggage to the mess hall.

Fluttershy was saying hi to the critters out here.

Well, I was chatting with my siblings, Soarin, Spitfire, and Surprise.

Lightning and her gang were doing the usual, messing around.

Gloriosa called us all to the gazebo, while we gathered there, chatting excitedly.

"Welcome again to Camp Everfree! Thanks to the money you raised for us, we did some renovations to the camp to make everyone as comfortable as possible. We are not going to have magical trouble again this year, and I hope everyone will have fun!" she announced

We shouted back,"YEAH!"

"Very good. But Gloriosa, it's time for me to talk. We are going to do the activities we did last year, with some new twists! Adventure time! But before we have fun, we have to settle down first." said Timber.

Gloriosa said,"So, boys go with Timber to get their tents, and girls, you're with me!"

We separated into two groups, boys and girls.

We drew a card from a box.

"I'm in the Aquamarine Tent." I said.

Fleetfoot and Speedy said,"So are we!"

Applejack was with Rarity.

"Ooh Rarijack." squealed Pinkie.

She was with Fluttershy.

Rarity retaliated,"Pinkieshy."

Actually, Applejack and Fluttershy are lesbians, and the others are all bisexual. I'm the only one who's straight in the group.

The other basically split, but Twilight was with Sunset.

Fluttershy cooed,"Sunlight."

Twilight blushed. She and Sunset both had boyfriends, but they were secretly having feelings to each other, but won't ever admit it.

Me? I'm happy with my boyfriend, Soarin.

He was in the Emerald tent with Flash and Thunderlane.

They were my childhood friends, and the only ones to know my abuse except for my siblings and Fluttershy.

I love them so much (as a friend).

Me, Fleet and Speedy went into our temporary home, and unpacked.

I got the bed nearest the tent flap.

We squabbled so long to choose.

Gloriosa called us out to make paper lanterns.

It was sunset, so it was slowly getting dark.

I drew a couple kissing, with hearts surrounding them on my blue lantern.

Below that, I wrote: Let our love last forever.

Soarin was beside me, and he blushed when he saw what I made.

He showed me mine bashfully.

My face was smack-dab on it.

He actually drew me perfectly. No detail missed.

Now it was my turn to blush.

"Thanks Soarin." I said, before adding the finishing touches on mine.

Like last time, Pinkie and Surprise put marshmallows on their lanterns.

Applejack and Sunset were sighing in exasperation.

"What? Marshmallows are so tasty and you know it!" said Pinkie, as she stuffed a big handful of said marshmallows in her mouth, creating a marshmallow moustache.

We were laughing so hard at her. She has this talent to make everyone around her feel happy.

Gloriosa announced,"Everyone please come to the dock. We are going to let our lantern fly!"

We headed over, lit the fuse, and watched in awe as all the lanterns slowly floated into the sky.

Hundreds of candles brightened up the night, illuminating our faces, as we gazed above us.

I never get tired of this.

Soarin was staring at my sky blue lantern, as it slowly disappeared out of sight.

"Awesome." I said.

He replied,"I totally agree."

(I never saw this in person, so I hope I described okay.)

It was about eight, and it was time for campfire tales.

"Timber, tell us the Gaia Everfree one again!" pleaded Twilight, kissing him on the cheek.

He blushed, and said,"Okay. Anything for my baby."

We gathered around the campfire as he began, but this time the story was edited.

"My grandparents discovered this place one day, and thought it was wonderful for a camp. As they finished the construction, a gargantuan monster rose out from the earth! Her name was Gaia Everfree, and she was the goddess of this forest. She wasn't happy to see the camp on her beloved forest, so she wanted to kill my grandparents. They begged her not to, so she agreed. But they had to name the camp after her, so Camp Everfree was born. She vowed to take revenge one day before she disappeared.

Years later, I was born and so was Gloriosa. My grandparents passed away, and their last wish was for us to take care of this place. But Gloriosa wasn't able to afford the rent, and so she was very desperate. She found seven magical geodes which caused her to transform into Gaia Everfree, but my girlfriend right here and her friends saved the day! 

To help us save Camp Everfree, they held a Crystal Ball, and tanks to them, they helped us raise enough money! So that's why we are very sorry for the unpleasant moments last year my sister caused. We are now better than ever, and we specially asked Principal Celestia to invite you guys here again for an amazing time we wish to give."

As he concluded his story, some of the students were in tears.

"Woo-hoo!" cheered Pinkie, as the rest of us joined in.

This is a good start for an awesome week in Camp Everfree.

Or so I thought.
