What is the definition of wrong?

Can you answer that without using the word 'right'?

There is no definite failure. It is relative.

All your life, you've been told to be a failure, a disappointment, a waste.
Did you listen? Yes
Did you care? Unfortunately, yes. That was wrong.

How do you know that caring for what you used to hear about yourself was wrong?
Could you have known it was wrong back when you used to care? No.

You can only know something is wrong after experiencing what is right. Differentiating between right and wrong can never be done before the decision is taken.

People would say that how you feel or are acting is wrong. Wrong. It is your choice and perspective as to how you want to feel. For others it may be a failure, for you it is a stepping stone. It cannot be worse, and it won't be. Success will come, I know, I know you know. You trust you more than these animals around. They just need to shove popcorn down their throats and watch you prove them wrong.

Wrong, a very easy word used daily by egoistic people. You may have noticed I have used the word way too many times in this piece of writing. Just by reading the title you may have gotten a sense of negativity about this writing, expecting this piece to explore some sort of negative psychology or philosophy.

The variation in the word 'failure', the understanding that its meaning has a deviation in every individual, it is all very obvious.

Then why does 'wrong' sound so definite? It really isn't. The word shouldn't even exist.

Failure is just eliminating a path that isn't successful; wrong cannot be defined in a similar way.

Wrong is just that which isn't right. Instead of saying something is wrong, if we could just say that there is a more right approach or solution, things seem much better without even changing the meaning.

In school or college, if someone told you that you were wrong, you don't feel very nice. Your ego gets hurt. Remember how I spoke about egoistic people? Those people use the word to put you and others around them down, boosting their ego and thus get over their heads. Instead, if they asked you to find a more correct method, firstly, you won't get as hurt as you would've in the other case, second, you would be much more motivated to find that right solution and your ego and self-worth is not harmed at all.

You won't be scared to be wrong, and you shouldn't be!

Why? Because the word doesn't even exist.

And no, you cannot define 'wrong' without using 'right', because only 'right' exists.

Wrong is not right.
