I got a phone call from my dad a week later. My grandmother had been sick for awhile. She finally passed from kidney failure. I was devastated to find that out. There was only one person I needed with me at the time. I immediately called her, after getting off the phone with my dad.
She came over to my house and just sat with me, rubbing my back. After about 10 minutes of silence, she said to me, 'You can cry if you want.' And admittedly, I did. But she comforted me all the while.
