After recording "Jinglebell Rock" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", you decided to write an original Christmas song.
When the band gave you the go-ahead, you were alone with Murdoc in his room. He was helping you write. There was a couple of rap parts among the mostly festive lyrics, so the style was kind of like "Feel Good Inc", but not quite.
You then had written a few lyrics about Murdoc in there, but subtle as to not just flat out tell him your feelings.
It was your solo for the bridge, and Murdoc would be playing some random notes you jotted down.
By the end of it, Murdoc was impressed with how much you did on your own. He played a few notes on El Diablo, making it sound purely professional.
2-D was on main vocals and keyboard, as usual, with Noodle on lead guitar as usual and Russel on drums as usual, so basically everything was normal- except for the bridge. It kind of made 2-D glare at you, but he wasn't about to claim that you stole his job, because you didn't.
The chorus was rap, so you decided to ask Murdoc to find someone who would do it. He bowed like a gentleman and said:
"My lady, you can always count on good old Murdoc Niccals..."
With the main part of the work done, you and the rest of the band saw how late it had gotten and decided to eat supper and go to bed.
You had pizza that night, since Russel wasn't in the mood to cook anything besides gingerbread men and other Christmas goodies. Hell, he was even at the shop that afternoon buying small toys and candy as stocking stuffers!
