Back Again (Draft)

Chapter 13

I sit there in silence for a minute or two.

I take his gun from him and pull him into a hug, he starts crying into my shoulder, I rub his back trying to comfort him." I-I didn't realize you we're so serious about her" I say quietly, feeling a twinge a jealously.

 " I wasn't really, but she's fucking pregnant brook, how is she gonna raise a child on her own, she's not responsible at all, not to mention she doesn't have a job or a place, and she wants to keep it and raise it herself, I'm worried for the kid" Mason says wiping his eyes. "she's not your problem mason" I look at him as he goes quiet

 " Your not thinking of going with her are you" I say "I-I don't know brook, I mean she needs someone" He says scratching the back of his neck " you can't help her mason, this was her decision and you shouldn't feel responsible, your only 22, you shouldn't be taking care of a child yet" I say

 "your one to talk, you were married to a psychopath" He says "Listen I made questionable decisions, which is why I'm saying this, don't commit to anything this early, you still have the rest of your life" I say, he wraps his arm's around me and tilts my head up to look at him.

I can feel my cheeks getting hotter, is this really happening?? what is he doing??  

he traces my jaw line with his thumb

his green eyes are so beautiful, and his messy blond hair complements his tan skin, and those muscles, god don't get me started. he's really handsome, I've always thought he was good looking

He notices me looking and smiles "Like what you see" he winks, I feel my face getting hotter and I look away flustered, he tilts my head back to look at him, he leans in closer

is he...Oh my god, hes going to kiss me, what do I do?!?!

his lips get closer to mine and-"Hey brook stop flirting and come here, the kids are being hauled in" Ryder yells from the balcony, Mason pulls away and gives me a quick peck on the cheek

 "We'll continue this later, thanks for cheering me up" He says grinning like a goofball, I smile and walk inside still in shock of what just happened "sooooooo" Ryder says teasingly "you couldn't have waited two more minutes" I say shooting him a look

 "What I can't help my competition" He says with a sly grin as he walks into the main building where the newbies are sitting, I lean against the wall as Ryder gives his normal speech 

"Listen up shitters, I'm Ryder, I am the leader of Blood Shot, You will all listen to me and those above you, you are here because you have potential, but only 5 of you will make it through the program, 4 of you will crack under pressure, 2 of you will die from your own stupidity, and 3 of you will be asked to leave, so shine, strive to be the greatest, and don't die, now let me introduce you to your instructors" he gestures for us to move forward.

Jenny, Kay, Zack and I all step forward, Ryder points to us one by one and introduces us, intimidating the kids. I remember when I first joined, I was so scared, the leader before Ryder was insane. Jax ran a really tight ship and if you got on his bad side you were as good as dead.

"Alright guys, I will now leave you in their hands, good luck to all of you, I look forward to seeing who survives this game" He smiles and winks to all the kids and leaves.We tower over the kids wearing stern faces, Kay hands me the list and I read out names, I roll my eyes seeing that Ryder gave me the extra

"alright first off Ava, Jane and Lewis your with Jenny. Conner, Neil and Ivan your with Zack, Nia, Aj and Beth your with Kay. That leaves Chad, Skylar, Vickie, and Snake your all with me" they all get up and surround their instructor.we all part off and start showing them around, sharing stories of our first day and first kills, first I take my kids to their cots and get them settled in.

they all unpack and are whispering to each other and making friends "hurry up, we have a tight scheduled to up hold"I say, they all line up and I show them the kitchen and dinning room "Breakfast is at 6am sharp, lunch is 1 and dinner is 7, remember that" I say and continue walking around showing them around.

~Days later~

"Common Chad get your ass in gear, Vic what did I say about your aim, Sky 10 push ups" I say barking orders, so far the only one doing good is snake, which didn't surprise me too much. The other instructors are saying I push them to hard but I'll be dammed if it's my crew getting kicked off.
