I feel arms wrap around my waist and a bushy after shave brush my cheek, I smile looking over seeing mason's dirty blond hair. I kiss the top of his head and continue teaching the kids.
"When will you have a free day?" Mason says quietly,squeezing me lightly
"They're free from me after dinner most days, but they have a break from training tomorrow" I say
"Good, I want to show you something then" He keeps his head resting on my shoulder
I smile kissing his head again
"Chad common arms up, block your face stop worrying about your stomach" I yell
"But Sky's aiming low and it hurts" Chad says almost whining
Mason lets go and I walk over to him and lift him up by the ruff of his shirt "Good, your training to defend yourself from anyone who tries to hurt you" I toss him down "stop being a pussy and handle yourself now 5 laps and and 10 push ups stat before I give you more" He runs off.
I look at the group "Everyone learn from his mistakes, now 5 push ups each, sky practice your knife throwing afterwords" I walk back to my post and mason wraps his arms back around my waist
"your such a hard ass with them" he says
"Yea well I refuse to have any of mine let go" I say, sky comes up to me shyly
"c-can you help me with my aim, I can't get it right" she asks
"sure" I walk over to the knife throwing and set her up, I guide her arm "here across your body" I show her what I mean "ohhh I see now" she says with a light smile.
Mason walks up to snake a starts sparring with him.
the bell rings signifying dinner. we pack up and head into the dinning hall. Mason and I sit with Ryder at the leaders table and dig in.
"So how's training going kitty" Ryder asks
"Good, so far everyone's getting on the right track" I say
"I heard you gave Chad a run for his money" Ryder says with a chuckle
"Yea well, if they don't learn their place they'll get themselves killed" I say taking a sip of water
"I mean her method works, it's questionable but it works" mason says chiming in
"I don't know why y'all are complaining, my kids were top of their class last year and look at them now" I say gesturing to the year two table
Mason and Ryder both exchange a look then go back to eating.
