*Sorry for the long wait, I just started school, and I don’t really have any free time! :(*
*Calum’s POV*
My parents had invited Megan over for dinner. They noticed that I didn’t bring her over anymore, so they decided to invite her themselves. Well, thank you. The last thing I needed right now was my girlfriend to be around.
Okay, that came out harder than I meant it.
Of course I still liked her. A lot. But since the thing between me and Luke happened, I had to keep my distance. We shared everything with each other. Well, we used to. So to have such a big secret was hard.
And I was afraid that she would figure it out somehow. She was a smart girl.
The doorbell rang, and when I opened it Megan jumped into my arms.
She gave me a big kiss, and I felt a bit of guild in my stomach.
“Hey handsome” she said, our foreheads pressed together.
“Hey cutie” I said.
We were halfway through the dessert when the doorbell rang again.
“I’ll get it” I said.
For the second time that day, I was met with a kiss in the doorway. But this time it was the right pair of lips.
It was a short, but sweet, kiss. Luke stood and looked down at me. Dammit, he was actually getting pretty tall.
“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice low. I don’t know why I kept it low, but whatever.
“Can’t I visit my best friend anymore?” he asked, with a smile on his lips.
“Calum, who are you talking to?” I could hear Megans voice from around the corner.
I jumped a bit away from Luke, so it wouldn’t look like we just kissed. Which we did. But Megan didn’t need to know that.
“Oh, hey Luke, what are you doing here?” she looked at Luke, than at me, then back to Luke.
“Just stopping by, what about you?” Luke answered. How could he play it of so cool? I didn’t even trust my own voice right now.
“Eating dinner with my boyfriend and his parents. Which reminds me, Cal, your dessert is melting, you should probably go eat it” she smiled at me, but it was obvious that it didn’t reach her eyes. Shit. She was into us. She knew. Maybe she saw us. But she couldn’t. But she probably had anyway. Dammit, stop overthinking everything. She’s probably just sad that I spend so much time with Luke and not her. Yearh, that was it. She didn’t know about me and Luke.
But even when I tried to convince myself, I couldn’t. She knew something. I don’t know what, but something.
