It was because of you,
That the once locked dove could feel love.~~~
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"How did it go?"
"I saw her off to the platform, is there anything else you wanted to know?"
"Oh my god." Ian sighed. "Did. You. Tell. Her."
"What?"
"That you're in love with her."
Quinn felt like he just had taken a bullet to his chest. "N-No..."
"What???" Ian shouted in utter disappointment. "And you let it stay that way?"
"I wasn't planning—"
"How many times have you contemplated on finally telling her? That was your last chance and you let it completely go to waste!"
Quinn stopped.
"Y-You're right." His soul had pretty much left his body. "It's practically over."
"Oh boy." Ian panicked. "Uh—i-it's not too late! You could probably catch her before the platform, her train doesn't leave in a while. But I don't know how far you can—"
He didn't hesitate, nor had he ever run that fast in his life.
~~~
Violet sighed as she sat in the waiting area. She had taken out a book to read as she waited for the train to begin boarding passengers. Not that she could concentrate on reading it though.
She knew that she could easily call this the best year. After she had spent her the entirety of her life isolating herself from others due to the things that she had to keep to herself, she was never able to freely tell anyone about the burdens she carried without feeling uneasy, until now.
She recalled the time when the Vallets first told her about her parents, the emotions that flowed through her as she tried to distance herself from them since they hadn't told her sooner.
Or the time she decided to start modelling in order to aid her foster parents with their financial issues. Then the time she ended up having to quit just a few years after.
Then the time she was dropped off in front of the Waters' household for the first time by a driver sent by Mrs. Waters. The time she was first exposed to a different way of living in a new town.
Then there was the time she met Quinn. She was cleaning her new room when she noticed him glance at her through his window. Not sure how she should have reacted, she waved back, and that was the beginning of their relationship.
From using their dry erase boards to communicate to talking to each other in person, then going to school together and eventually taking walks to explore the town, the two had only gotten closer since the day they first met.
And there was the point in time when she had begun falling for him. She wasn't exactly sure when it happened, but assumed it was during the time they couldn't spend together when she decided to tutor her fellow classmate, and the time that same classmate had completely betrayed her trust and he came back to talk to her again after holding back.
After that, every little thing he did with her in mind never failed to make her nervous. Without realizing it herself, she started paying attention to his smaller traits and actions that made him who he was. She understood how much he really was doing for her all in order to make her happy. She did not have, and probably would never have any other friend like him.
