Heavy footprints
On the other side of the wall
Boots, heels, hard shoe
Sounds like a woman
Her steps like yours, darling
Little rebel combat boots
On little rebel feet
That I rubbed when sore
Your shoes,
Always prim and perfect
Like Cinderella’s slippers
A pair of worn Converse
Little rebel combat boots
Under those strong calves
Under that strong heart
Under that strong woman
