Day 1
(Y/N) stared at the large ornate doors leading into the mansion. She shivered, scared of going in. True, she was excited to see him, but she knew no one. The thought of being lost among a bunch of strangers did not seem like her idea of a good time.
Sighing, (Y/N) hesitantly marched up to the door with her heels clanked against the hard stone. She inhaled and wrapped her fingers around the brass handle. The door swung open, causing her to jump. Naturally, her hand found its way to the small dagger she always carried. A man with a floppy green cap looked at her and at the dagger.
He ushered her inside without a word and continued to go on his way. 'The first encounter and I almost kill someone. Perfect. Totally, a great first impression to someone that might be your husband's friend.'
She sighed yet again and ventured deeper into the rooms of the mansion. People seemed to take no notice of her as she slipped through the crowds. Loud talking and laughter echoed throughout the crowded room which seemed to be the dining room. Tables were laid parallel to each other, perpendicular to the front.
Not a single face seemed familiar to (Y/N). Every time eyes met her (E/C) orbs, they disregarded her or flashed a smile and went back to their previous task. She finally resigned herself to the snack table after ten minutes of searching for anyone. Just anyone she knew would be fine. The thought of being alone frightened her.
While she was drinking a cup of punch that was obviously spiked, a woman with her snow white hair in pigtails tapped her shoulder. It took everything in (Y/N)'s body not to reach for the slim blade again. The woman's eyes and hair color seemed offly close to Robin's own, but the way she held herself was different than Robin's laid back attitude. She was much more noble than he would ever be.
"I noticed you were alone," she commented as she took her place next to (Y/N), "so I thought maybe you deserved some company." She held out her hand and smiled. "My name is Eliza."
"The name's (Y/N)," she said, quietly.
"Well, nice to meet you, (Y/N). If you don't mind me asking, who invited you here? I would hate to see you invited by someone to these opening ceremonies and not even see them."
"Robin invited me."
"Pardon? Please say that again. It's so loud in here."
"Robin invited me, here," she said, slightly louder to make sure Eliza could hear.
"Ah, so you're his surprise guest..." She looked (Y/N) up and down and nodded. (Y/N) was confused what she meant by surprise guest but let it slide. It couldn't have been important. She was more concerned about Eliza looking her over like she was slutty doll. She blushed at the thought, and Eliza laughed. "I can see why Robin would want to keep you a secret." Eliza twirled a bit of (Y/N)'s long (H/C) between two of her fingers. "Robin doesn't seem like the person to show off his love life to everyone."
(Y/N) blushed as bright red as a tomato to this—one might even say Leo red. True, at first, both of the two were scared to share that they were a couple at first. Robin liked people to mind their own business, and she was too shy and new to the Shepherds to publicly come out and say something like that. The more they grew in their relationship, the harder it was to hide it from people, so they announced that they were getting married. That shut up all the rumors that were floating around them.
It hadn't been too long since they had been married, but guessing that Robin didn't really want to put himself in the spotlight, he kept quiet about them together.
