I looked at the girl. She was skinny and tall. She was also happy and in love. But what I saw was different. Her hazel eyes looked saddened. She looked timid and shy. She smiled to please others but you could see it in her eyes she was hurt. She repeatedly looked to you, hoping you'd look back... but you didn't.
She smiled to those asking her hurtful questions, answering
"Oh, that? Its nothing he just wanted to sit with them and I wanted to sit with you guys."
or
"Just need some space... I have to go."
She stood at the door, with her friend, waiting for it to be over. She peeked at you with her hazel eyes.
She smiles to her friends as they talk but I see she looks at you as you play guitar. She runs to try to distract herself from the pain she feels. She smiles to her friend as her friend looks at you.
"I'll tell him to ask you to the dance. Cheaper that way right?" When I know she is thinking that soon she won't be here.
I look at her, and I feel the glass shatter. I am her.
I miss you.
I still love you.
I guess that's my problem. I'm still gonna love you, even though it pains me. Guess I'll have to live with it. I'm just waiting for it to be over. Please stop this pain.
