Chapter 2 - Return

~Georgie's P.O.V~

We arrived in Riverdale, after a four hour car journey. When I got out of the car I just stood there and stared at the house. Remebering all of the memories and happy times I had in this house before we moved. After standing there for a good five minutes, I decided to go in the house and unpack all of my things. I needed to find all the stuff I need for school in a couple of days. Which I was dreading.

My house was next to Archie's, I really wanted to go next door and tell him I'm back. But I wanted to keep it a surprise for the first day back at school. I knew it was gonna be tricky, but I was going to try it. I really wanted to go to Pop's Chocklit Shoppe, but that's where the four of us always used to go. So I'm not sure if they will be there or not, oh well. I'm gonna have to risk it I really need a milkshake.

Before I got out of my car I looked into Pop's to see if Betty, Jughead or Archie were here. None of them were, so I was lucky, I walked into Pop's and as he saw me he grinned at me.

"Georgie, welcome back." I smiled widely back.

"Hi, Pop. Thank you, it's good to be back. But if you see Betty, Jughead or Archie or anyone, don't say anything about me being back, ok? I want it to be a surprise." I started ranting.

"Of course Georgie." He smiled and nodded. "Now, what can I get you?" But before I could answer "an Oreo milkshake?" I smiled because he rembered my favourite milkshake.

"You remembered" my smile grew giant. He nodded and smiled, then walked away to go and make my milkshake. A couple of minutes later Pop came back with my milkshake, I got the money out and gave it to him. I then heard the door open, and then Pop gave his attention to the person who walked through the door.

"I came to get the order for Lodge please" my eyes widened as soon as the person started to talk.

"The one and only Veronica Lodge" I turned around and smiled at her. Her eyes widened when she realized it was me, her smile grew massively. We both squealed and hugged each other, "I missed you, Ronnie."

She pulled away from the hug and crossed her arms, "you missed me? You left New York and didn't even say goodbye." She was frowning at this point.

I was also frowning, "I know I'm sorry, my mum wouldn't let me tell you. She said it would of been best if you didn't know where we were going, but I guess it didn't matter anyway. I'm so glad your here with me though." Both of our smiles grew again.

"So am I Georgie" Ronnie replied. I looked out of the window to see Archie and Betty walking towards Pop's.

"I have to go now, I can't let them know I'm here until school tomorrow. I want it to be a surprise, don't tell them that you know me, OK?" I said fast, but hoping she understood me.

Veronica just nodded "Yeah, OK. I'll see you at Riverdale High?" She questioned.

I nodded my head fast and ran out of the back door of Pop's.

I opened the door to my house and walked in.

My mum was coming down the stairs and smiled at me, "Hi honey, what took you so long?"

"You won't believe it, Veronica showed up" I replied to her and she stopped suddenly while on the way to the kitchen.

She spun around and looked shocked, "Really? That's great honey." I could tell in her voice that she wasn't to happy about it, she never really liked Veronica. She always thought that me hanging around with Veronica was a bad idea. My mum noticed how much I had changed since we moved to New York, I knew it scared her sometimes on how much I would actually change. I never listened to her when she told me not to hang around with Veronica, Ronnie became my best friend and we did everything together. But hopefully we won't be the same girls we were back in New York, I'm definitely changing my attitude now I'm back in Riverdale. So I'm hoping that Ronnie will change her attitude now we are in a small town. We can't be the same popular, think they own everything and everyone girls anymore.

I got thrown out of my thoughts when Jake walked past me, he nudged me because I was just stood there staring out to space thinking about everything.

"Hey, what you doing?" He asked me.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and go to sleep now, night." I replied to him. He smiled and waved at me.

"Night, Georgie." Me and Jake got on really well, unlike most step siblings our age. I walked up the stairs and got ready for bed, as soon as I layed on my bed I fell straight to sleep.
