i can't handle the attitudes from managers. i was going to hold out until i got my new phone but i can't anymore. i called out sick today, i got transferred to one of the managers and she asked me why am i calling out and i told her i have a cold. then she goes to say, "i have a cold and i'm here at work." OKAY THATS YOU! NOT ME! i say, "okay..?_?" then she asks me "did you go to urgent care?" and i said, "no, i'm taking medicine here at home." then she says, "you need a doctors note to excuse this." i'm not going to no doctors just to be charged a bill, no ma'am. unless you want to pay for it. other than that, NO. but just b/c you have a cold doesn't mean workers should come in with a cold. we deal with people's food, that's gross. but that is her prerogative. when i first got hired she asked my why didn't i have availability on the weekend and i said i have family stuff then she says "i do too but i'm here at work." i don't fuckîng care what YOU do, this is ME. in the end i had to have an availability for one day out the weekend so i chose Saturday. i'm quitting on the spot without a 2 weeks notice, and i know that's unprofessional and late but at this point idc. i got back to work on thursday and i'm going to go a few hours before my shift was supposed to start and tell them i quit. they won't be used as my reference anyways. plus i don't get paid enough for the amount of work we do.
i already applied to another job yesterday and hopefully they'll get back to me in a few days.
