PERCI POV
I swallowed my medication and walked out of the bathroom. Another day in school, yay. That just means that I'm another day closer to getting out of this entire high school life. Maybe then I could just leave everything behind and take my mom to Scotland with me. We've always wanted to go anyways, why not straight out of high school?
"Perci! You're gonna be late!" I panicked. I'm never late for school. Never.
"I'm coming! Is Benji driving me?" I yelled down the hall.
"Yeah, So hurry up, he will leave without you!" I turned around really fast and hit my head off the bed post. I groaned as I looked for my other shoe quickly.
"Shit shit shit shit shit," I mumbled.
Paris, London, Tokyo,
there's just one thing that I gotta do
Hello, tuck you in every night on the phone"What," I snapped.
"Jesus, I'm outside with my man Benji, where are you?" Johnny asked. Johnny, the gay best friend that everyone wants but can't have because he's my best friend. Tall, blonde, blue eyed, basically every country guy's dream just put into a guy who's gayer than gay porn on top of a rainbow with the pride flag flowing from a unicorn.
"Yeah, well, I'm still looking for my left shoe, and I'm pretty sure I lost my laptop with all of my research on it and I'm super pissed because the Patriots lost to the Dolphins and then I got happy because Alabama beat Georgia but then there was a whole mix up and I don't know what to do because I think I lost my lucky sweatshirt so guess who doesn't have a sweatshirt today?" I ranted.
"Jesus Christ," Johnny said.
"That seems to be your favorite phrase today." I heard Johnny sigh on the other end of the phone.
"Yeah, I'm on my way up to your room, don't leave your spot otherwise I'll get lost in this fucking mansion," Johnny laughed. I soon heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs and a Johnny appeared in my doorway breathless. "You know what you should get? Escalators. Escalators Perci! Escalators!" I laughed as I hung up the phone and continued looking for my converse.
"Yeah, Yeah, just look for my laptop while I look for my....shoe!"
"Wow, a little enthusiastic are we?" He mocked. I glared at him as I slipped on my converse and started tying it. "I found it!" He lifted my laptop as if it were a trophy. I snatched it and slipped it into my shoulder bag. "Is that what it feels to have a weave snatched?" I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go, we don't have much time. School starts in ten minutes!" Johnny suddenly realized the situation and stepped up his speed. I was down the stairs and through the kitchen in less than thirty seconds which was saying a lot since my house is fucking huge. Johnny was right behind me as I yelled a goodbye to my mom and ran to where Benji, my driver, was waiting.
"Step on it Benji!" Johnny shouted as he threw himself into the back seat with me, pushing me over and into the opposite door in the process.
"Yes sir, Mr. Belle," Benji replied.
"I love it when you take control, Johnny, gets me all tingly inside," I joked. Johnny rolled his eyes.

"Oh please tell me that you're gonna actually talk to Jason today," Johnny pressed. I smiled. "Does that smile mean a yes? Please mean a yes, please mean a yes..." he had his hands placed together as if he were praying.
"Well, technically I have to because he's in my calculus class and constantly asks me for help." I straightened my pleated skirt, due to the school uniforms we are required to wear. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them, it's just that since they made it so that the girls had to wear skirts, I kinda hate them. Also, the guys like to try and look up them any chance they get.
"Maybe he asks you because he likes you~" Johnny said in a sing song voice. I shook my head at him. I stopped paying attention to him once he started ranting to me about how I should talk to Jason and probably get a boyfriend soon because I'm a junior and my high school career will end in a year. "Perci! Watch out!" Like I said, I wasn't paying attention.
"Woah!" I heard a deep voice shout and I was soon falling flat on my back with a giant laying on top of me. "Sorry!" It didn't take me long to figure out who it was when I noticed the signature letterman jacket with the name Todd embroidered above the heart.
"Um, no...it's-it's okay.... It was my fault I-"
"No," he groaned as he stood up in front of me. "That one is on me." He held out his hand and I looked at it suspiciously. "Come on, I don't bite. Unless you want me to," he finished. Yep, there was the douche. I was wondering where he went.
"I can stand on my own," I stated.
"Alright," he put his hands up in surrender. I stood and began walking away from him. As I was walking away, i felt someone pull in the back of my skirt. I turned right around, ready to scream at whoever it was but soon realized it was Jason...again. "I wasn't doing what you think I was! Your skirt was tucked into your underwear!" He blurted out. I let out a breath I had seemed to be holding in. "Are you gonna hit me?"
I chuckled to myself. "No, I'm not gonna hit you. I thought about it, but I'm not going to." He flashed me that smile that always made me weak in the knees.
"Good, cause I'm pretty sure my friends would think I was a pussy if you did," he laughed. "Are we heading to calculus?"
I nodded and picked up my speed. God, this guy walks fast. "You study for the test?" That made him stop dead in his tracks making me laugh at him. "I'm kidding. There's no test," I giggled.
"Oh thank fuck, I'm pretty sure if we did have one, I'd fail and my wonderful tutor would have to actually take up the job of actual tutoring," he flirted.
"Well, maybe if you actually studied, I wouldn't have to spend my time teaching you what you should already know," I stated. Jason seemed taken back by my comment and I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel bad. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by what I just said."
"No! It's fine. But did it ever occur to you that maybe I did pay attention but asked you for help because I like your company?" His face said he was fine, but the tone in his voice told me everything I needed to know.
"Mr. Todd! Miss Bennet! Get to class before the bell rings!" That was Mrs. Wile. The designated hall monitor of Gotham High.
"Yes Mrs. Wile! I'm terribly sorry!"
"It's alright! Just get to class on time Perci!" I nodded and waved at her my smile tight as I jogged towards my classroom.
"You didn't tell me that you were friends with the hall monitor?" Jason mentioned.
"Well, we're not exactly close friends, Mr. Todd." He smirked at me before opening the door and letting me walk in.
"My mistake Miss Bennet," he said quietly I felt my face heat up when he set his hand on my lower back to get pass me. "Next time I'll know my boundaries," he whispered. I could feel his breath fan my face. I watched him walk towards the rest of the football players in the back of the class.
