Taehyung 3rd POV

It's weekend. It's time for Taehyung to go home to his parents and stay for a visit. They've planned this for so long so he can't say no now. He can't make up an excuse so he doesn't have to go there. He can't escape it. He doesn't know why he dreads it. His family is the handbook description of perfect. A loving mother, a hard working father and three kids that love each other more than anything else.

So why is it that Taehyung feels so empty every time he sits with his 'perfect' family? Well it's quite an easy answer. They aren't perfect. At least they don't show the unperfect side of them but Taehyung knows. He knows that his mother works constantly so they can eat. His father sits at a chair all day doing paperwork and drinking even though he has told them countless times that he'll stop. His siblings either bullied or being the bullies. And he's in the middle. Having to drag home a drunk father if his mother can't. Having to break up fights between his siblings when the elder are sleeping. Having to continuously try to keep them together and keep them sane.

So he's not excited to go. He hates that he has to go. But he can't stay away forever. So that morning he doesn't send his usual 'goodmorning' in the groupchat of his, Yoongis and Jungkooks. He doesn't smile that morning. He doesn't laugh at the giddy video one of his friends send him. He just keeps thinking about what is gonna happen this weekend. And he dreads it.

So he takes a breath. And opens the door of his dorm. And he's gone.

Jungkook 3rd POV

Jungkook is confused. He's confused for two reasons. One his mother has just send a text saying she's in the hospital with his dad. And to be honest that makes him more worried than confused but the confusion is still there. Second is that it's 10 am yet Taehyung has still not send a 'goodmorning' text to the groupchat and... to be honest again that worries him. But he just puts it off and tells himself that Taehyung just forgot it this day. So he gets his shoes on and makes his way towards the hospital his mother and father are at.

He takes the bus and is there in a few minutes and walks up to the receptionist. He asks her where his parents are and she tells him. He can't help but note her irritated tone of voice and how gravely it is. Yet he doesn't say anything about it. He goes to the room the lady told him his parents were at and sees his mother crying while holding the hand of his sleeping dad.

His mother looks up at him when she hears him come in. And ushers him over.
"The doctors said his disease is going away! Sure it's slow but they say it's progress!" His mother said happily before wiping some tears off her cheeks.

Jungkook nearly jumped out of his skin in joy. His dad had a decease. The doctors weren't sure what it was but he had a decease. And now they were finally making progress.

He stayed there the rest of the day talking to his mom about his dad while he slept near her in the hospital bed.

He completely forgot about Taehyungs absence. He completely forgot about their conversation the day before.

Yet he didn't forget Yoongi. He talked and talked about him to his mother and she quietly listened.

But when he came home and saw no messages from the groupchat he began worrying. But once again he forgot about it until he wrote his 'goodnight' text.

And then he was out like a light. Sleeping in his soft yet irritating bed. And he didn't know what was coming tomorrow.

Just that his dad was gonna be okay.
