Taehyung 3rd POV

It was quiet after Jungkook left. The only sound that filled the empty hallway that Taehyung stood in was the sounds of machinery going off a little ways down, small clicks and beeps flew in the air, never fully reaching Taehyungs ears in any more than a small whisper of its true sound. Taehyung heaved a sigh before picking up the bag he had brought with him, the snacks littered in it crumbled and broken in his rush to get there, he had planned to give them to Yoongi, but he never got to give them to the man.

Taehyung began walking through the quietness, noting that he was alone in the hallway, not a single person came by, not even any doctors or nurses. There was no one other than himself, but he didn't feel that lonely, he just felt empty. He glanced at a clock hanging on the wall besides him, annoyed by the 'tick, tick, tick, tick' that came from it, and as he looked he let out a small grumble before he reluctantly noted that it was past 3am already.

It had been exactly 1 hour, 34 minutes and 27 seconds- no 28 seconds since Jungkook had gone out.

Taehyung had stayed stock still in that time, his mind drifting to bad and awful things, even when he tried to think of other things, like puppies or kittens, but puppies reminded him of Jungkook and kittens reminded him Yoongi. He sighed once again before continuing his walk through the hospital, slow steps filled with nothing but regret and sadness but soon enough he was at the receptions desk.

"Sir, excuse me, sir...?" There was a soft voice behind him, but he didn't register it, he just kept on walking, not once turning back to look at whoever was calling for him. He faintly wondered if the voice was even directed at him, but then he remembered that he had been the only person in the hall, which meant he was probably the only one in the reception as well.

The voice calling for him droned on a little, trying to gain his attention, but ultimately stopped when it was clear that Taehyung wouldn't or couldn't react. There was a small silence as Taehyung reached the doors and went out into the cold air. A small breeze had picked up so that the leaves on the ground flew a bit off the ground before landing once again.

Taehyung looked at it and laughed a little, a dry, humorless laugh before thinking 'what a great metaphor' he looked at the small leaves, 'the leaves are trying their best to get off the dirty ground, but they always end up back where the muck is.'

"It's kinda like my life, huh. Always trying to get away from the bad, but always ending up in it again." As he said the last aloud, he laughed a little to himself. It was a dry laugh with no trace of happiness in it, just a small dry 'haha' before it went silent again.

The silence felt thick and brittle at the same time, like nothing could break it but at the same time it would break with the smallest of winds pushing on to it. Taehyung hated this silence, he hated all silence, he just wanted it to go away and leave him alone as well.

He looked at the sky for a moment and was startled when he saw that his sight had become blurry, he reached up to touch and felt the warm moisture at his eyes. As soon as he realized it, he felt a small, singular drop, stream down his face. It curved around his jaw and stayed there, not having enough power to fall to the ground.

Taehyung touched it and felt an overwhelmingly loneliness well up in him. He glanced at the street in front of him and saw only closed shops, he looked over to the park nearby and saw only a bridge with what looked to be a shadow upon it.

He looked but he never saw a smiling group of friends, he never saw a small child running with their friends towards the ice cream parlor across the street from him, he never saw a couple, an elder lady or anything like that.

All he saw was an empty road, with empty streets, which carried empty memories.

A minute passed where Taehyung didn't move.
