It had been a year since Dakota came back home it was the first day of her second year of teaching and she was passing out her class syllabus before the class came in. She did her best to avoid the girls while she was at school even went as far as not even coaching. She was writing her name on the board when she heard "Shouldn't it be Mrs Jacobson?'
She stopped and her heart stopped when she heard Bucky's voice and she continued to write "Ms Dakota Cooper."
She turned around and said "What do you want?'
"The girls told me you were teaching here I was surprised honestly I figured you would be off in NY while the husband plays NFL." he said as he looked down to see she wasn't wearing a ring.
"My life is no longer your business and hasn't been for a long time James." she said
"What the hell happened to you Dakota you had your whole life planned out to a T. Then you just say fuck it all." he said
She looked down and shook her head and said "I told you it's not your business anymore."
"What happened that day Sawyer Dakota huh? You never not once have been that mad at me." he said
"I'm not about to hash this out at work Bucky. So please leave me alone." she said
"I'll get you to talk to me now that I'm back and I'm teaching upstairs and I'm the football coach you are going to be seeing a lot more of me." he said
"No you won't cause I"m not coaching I just teach and take care of my kids. So you will not see me." she said
"That's what you think baby doll." he said as he left her classroom.
She looked down and took a few deep breathes and calmed her self down. After school she got in her car and picked up the kids from daycare and went home. She made them dinner and cleaned out the girls back packs from preschool. She gave them all baths and got them in bed. She enjoyed a glass of wine and some reading for tomorrow's lesson plan.
Bucky was laying in bed with Ashlynn in the dark as he played with her hair. Bucky was staring at the ceiling and tried to think back to if he had missed something there had to be more then her getting her feelings hurt that day. He finally drifted off to sleep and the next morning him and Ashlynn rode to work together.
They pulled in and they heard coming up the parking lot "Used to Love You Sober" coming from a Kia Sorento. She parked her car turned off her car and got out and she opened the trunk and got her bag out of it. Walked right past them all and went into the school and got clocked in and got some coffee and went to her classroom.
Bucky looked down and said "When did she get divorced Nat."
"It's been a year and half. She left him when she gave him an ultimatum and he chose to cheat on her and apparently it wasn't the first time according Melinda." Natasha said
He sighed and went to her class room and he shut the door and locked it. "You have 30 minutes till classes start and you are going to talk to me Dakota Cooper."
"I don't want to." she said as she continued to write the notes on the board.
He walked over to her and placed his hand over hers and said "Stop..What is the real reason why you were so mad that day you left me I needed you. Did you know that I told Ashlynn that I didn't want a big wedding if I didn't have you by my side because I needed my best friend there that's you not Steve. So we got married at the court house before I left. I kept up with you on facebook and Instagram and it hurt me so damn bad Dakota to see you change who you were.."
"Bucky please I don't want to talk about it okay. " she said
"Please Dakota baby doll just tell me." he said
"No I don't want to." she said
"Why?' he said
"Because I don't want to." she said
"Okay then why aren't you coaching." he said
"Because I don't want to. I don't have time for that." she said
He rolled his eyes and said "Are you living with your parents?'
"No I have my own place." she said
"And where is that?' he said
"Why are you playing 21 questions with me right now." she said
"I want to know where you live so I can come talk to you." he said
"I don' want to talk about it okay James so please just stop pushing it." she said
He pushed off her desk and left her classroom and went up to his football office and pulled up her teacher's file.
"Sawyer Dakota Cooper. Birthday October 20th Alma Mater UNC
"English Department-Head"

"Bingo" he said as he wrote it all down and including her new cellphone number.
