<Gabriela's POV>

I was running. I was running as fast as I could. I was in the forest. What was I doing in a forest? There was something chasing me. I looked back to see what was behind me and saw a huge, black shadow right behind me. I began running faster, but I tripped and fell. I rolled onto my back and looked up at the black shadow. It was right above me now. Now I know what it was. Who it was. It was death.

I jumped up quickly. I was sweating and crying. I was scared. Why was I dreaming about death chasing me? I soon calmed down when I heard his sad voice and his arms wrapped around me.

"Shhhh. You're gonna be okay. Calm down. Come here." Luke pulled me back down and I pushed my whole body up against his so maybe I could escape my problems, but right as I was falling back to sleep, the door flung open and Megan, my father, Jonah, and Kada were standing in the doorway. My father and siblings looked scared, but as soon as I made eye contact with my father he quickly calmed down. Megan looked pissed.

"We heard you screaming. We wanted to make sure you were okay." Kada came over to Luke and I and climbed onto my bed and sat beside us. We sat up and leaned against the headboard. My father came over and sat down beside me. He grabbed my free hand while Jonah came over and sat beside Kada. Luke had ahold of my other hand, softly running his thumb over the top of my hand. His touch was calming. Megan was staring at our hands. When she made eye contact with me, I laid my head against Luke's chest without breaking eye contact.

"Another nightmare?" My father asked concerned. I nodded my head. "You haven't had those in... about a week." I get these nightmares all the time, but this time was different. Usually there is a bright, pure white shadow following me and I'm usually walking in a large meadow towards a vast pond.

"This time... This time it was different. She wasn't there. Something else was." My father's expression instantly changed and he looked even more afraid than before. His grip on my hand tightened only the slightest. Luke's grip on my whole body tightened making me come closer to him if possible. Like he was trying to protect me even though he didn't know what he was protecting me from. Kada stood up on the bed and came over to me. Luke and my father let loose of my hands and I reached out to grab her. She fell on top of me hugging me. I hugged her tightly. We didn't move and soon Jonah joined in on the hug. My father hugged us too and yelled group hug. He pulled Luke into the hug.

When we finally broke away, I said, "I haven't had a group hug since she left." Jonah wipes a tear from my eye. I pulled him back into a hug and soon I could feel him begin to cry. I let loose and grabbed Luke's hand again and leaning into him. He hugged me tightly.

"I'm glad your here to protect my daughter, Luke. I'm glad to see you've changed at least the slightest." My father knew Luke? I shrugged it off and soon drifted off to sleep. Hopefully without anymore nightmares.
